casual — geto suguru.
Tumblr media
You nodded, trying to keep your expression neutral. "Yeah, it was nice. Just, you know, casual." "Right, casual. I know, doll." Suguru echoed, his gaze lingering on you a moment longer before he looked away. "No strings attached." "Exactly, yeah…." you said, forcing a smile. "We're both busy, and this doesn't have to mean anything more than... what it was." "Yeah." he said, his voice a bit quieter. "Just a one-time thing. No need to complicate things."

══════════════════
YOU HATE THIS APARTMENT. You know you picked it out. You went through the painstaking process of finding the best you could afford in all of Tokyo, sifting through countless listings, visiting countless open houses, and scrutinizing every detail with a critical eye. You even reached out to Nanami, seeking his advice on how he had found his own place, hoping his insight would guide you to something perfect.
But now, standing in the middle of the empty apartment, it just feels overwhelming. The walls seem to close in around you, their pristine surfaces a harsh reminder of the solitude that awaits you. The space, while objectively beautiful and well-chosen, feels alien and unwelcoming. The soft, neutral colors and high-end finishes that once seemed so appealing now appear cold and impersonal, like a display in a showroom rather than a home.
Each corner, every room, is meticulously arranged, yet it all feels distant, disconnected. The furniture you carefully selected—elegant, stylish pieces that should have brought comfort—now feels like mere props in a stage set, lacking the warmth and familiarity of a true home. The shelves stand empty, the walls bare, and the lack of personal touches only amplifies the feeling of displacement.
You had envisioned this place as a haven, a refuge where you could build a new chapter of your life. Yet now, it feels like a stark reminder of everything you’ve lost, of the gaping void left by Suguru’s absence and the weight of the decisions that brought you here. The reality of living alone in such a polished, empty space contrasts sharply with the vibrant, chaotic life you once had, and the dissonance is almost too much to bear.
The once-anticipated comfort of the apartment now feels like a cage, trapping you in a space that reflects the isolation and emotional distance you’re struggling to overcome. You try to imagine filling the space with personal belongings, with memories that would make it truly yours, but the task feels daunting, almost insurmountable. Each step you take feels heavy, burdened by the weight of unfulfilled expectations and the deep, pervasive sadness that lingers in every corner of this new, unwelcoming environment.
Since Haibara died and Suguru defected, the world has felt irreparably altered. Their absence has left a void not just in your life but in the very fabric of the world you once knew. Their departures were seismic shifts, upheavals that have reshaped everything—your sense of security, your understanding of your place in the world, and the very essence of who you are. The bonds you once relied on have frayed, the connections you took for granted have been severed, and you are left grappling with a reality that seems both unfamiliar and unkind.
The change is not just in the external world but within yourself. The person you were before all these events feels like a distant memory, replaced by someone who struggles to find meaning and connection in the aftermath of loss and betrayal. How could you not change when everything around you has been transformed so drastically? The world has moved on, and you are left to navigate its new contours alone.
People are worried about you. The concern is palpable, especially from Gojo Satoru, who has always been like a brother to you, a constant in a world that has become increasingly unpredictable. His worry is perhaps the most poignant, reflecting the deep bond you share and the impact of your struggles on those who care about you. His concern is a reminder that while you feel isolated, there are still people who want to help, who see the pain you’re enduring, and who are willing to support you even as you grapple with the overwhelming weight of your new reality.
He’d been trying to reach you for weeks, his calls and messages a persistent thread in the silence of your days. Each notification from Gojo felt like a distant echo, a reminder of the world outside the narrow confines of your apartment. Yet, each time you saw his name on your screen, you hesitated, unable to muster the energy to respond. The weight of the past was a constant companion, keeping you awake through endless nights.
The dreams, when they came, were a cruel mockery of the life you once knew. Each night was filled with hauntingly vivid memories of better times with Suguru—laughter shared in quiet moments, his touch, and the warmth of his presence that now felt like an elusive phantom. The contrast between those dreams and the stark reality of your waking life was almost too much to bear.
Food, once a source of comfort and nourishment, had become a meaningless necessity. The meals you prepared, though carefully chosen, lay untouched on the counter. Their taste had lost all appeal, a reflection of the emptiness that now colored every aspect of your existence. Eating had become a mere act of survival, a stark reminder of the joy that had been stripped away.
The outside world, with its bustling streets and vibrant energy, felt distant, almost foreign. Tokyo’s vibrant chaos seemed to exist in a different realm, one that you could observe but not truly engage with. The city that once felt like a living, breathing entity now felt like a backdrop to your solitary struggle, its noise and activity a harsh contrast to the silence of your own life.
It was on one of these evenings, shrouded in solitude, that Gojo finally appeared at your door. His concern was palpable, a stark reminder of how far you’d retreated from those who cared about you. When you opened the door, he stood there, his face a mixture of frustration and worry.
“I’ve been calling you for weeks.” he said, his voice heavy with concern. “Are you okay? I haven’t heard from you in ages.”
You tried to muster a smile, but it fell short, your exhaustion too profound to conceal. “Oh, Gojo. I didn’t expect you.”
He stepped inside, his eyes quickly taking in the state of your apartment. The neatness of the space did nothing to hide the emptiness that pervaded it. “You don’t look well.” he said, his cerulean gaze moving to the cold meal on the counter. “I’ve been worried. What’s going on?”
You shrugged, feeling the weight of his scrutiny. “It’s nothing. Just... struggling, I guess. Food doesn’t taste right anymore.”
Gojo moved closer to the counter, his eyes scanning the untouched food. “This isn’t just about food. You need to take care of yourself. When was the last time you had a decent meal? When was the last time you really slept?”
You looked away, your voice trembling as you tried to suppress the tears. “I don’t sleep much. When I do, it’s filled with dreams of Suguru. It’s like he’s everywhere, but also nowhere.”
His expression softened, a flicker of empathy in his eyes. “I get it. You’re missing him. But you can’t let it consume you. You need to find a way to move forward.”
You shook your head, the enormity of the situation pressing down on you. “It’s not that simple. The outside world feels so distant now, almost foreign. I’m just... lost.”
Gojo’s hand gently rested on your shoulder, his touch a grounding presence. “I know…But you can’t do this. He…he wouldn’t want this either.”
You knew that. But you felt a pang of guilt as you tried to reassure Satoru about your well-being. The effort to project a sense of normalcy, to offer him even a glimmer of hope that things might improve, weighed heavily on you. You knew that your struggles were far from over, and while you didn’t want to burden him with the full extent of your despair, the pretense felt like a delicate dance on the edge of honesty.
Because you don’t know how he does it. How he keeps himself from going insane. You wished you did. You wished you could be him. Because you’re exhausted. You wanted to move on. You wanted to be free. But still, you’re here in this cage of grief, living like this. Being in pain. Being empty.
Your graduation, which should have been a moment of triumph, was marred by his absence. The empty chair next to you was a constant reminder of what you’d lost. Now, in the stillness of your apartment, the silence is deafening. The memories of laughter and shared dreams haunt you, and the loneliness seeps into your bones.
You can’t help but wonder where he is, what he’s doing, if he ever thinks of you too. Suguru’s defection was more than just a betrayal; it was a fracture, a deep wound that hasn’t healed. And as you sit in the vast emptiness of your apartment, you wonder if it ever will.
Back when you lived in Jujutsu High's dorms, life was different. Shoko would pop by unannounced, always ready to share the latest gossip, her presence a comforting constant. Those moments of laughter and whispered secrets felt like a lifetime ago. Back then, you had Digimon show nights with Satoru, the two of you arguing over favorite characters and plot twists, the banter and camaraderie a soothing balm to the stresses of your training.
And then there were those cold nights when you needed warmth, and Suguru Geto was there. His presence was a refuge, his arms a sanctuary. The conversations you'd have, the plans you'd make for the future, they were all wrapped in a cocoon of shared understanding and affection. His departure left a gaping hole, one that you haven't been able to fill.
Now, you are all alone. Anyone is, with your one’s grief. And now you truly are, separated from everyone else. The silence is oppressive, the loneliness a constant companion. The walls of your new apartment seem to close in on you, a stark reminder of what you once had and what you've lost. The memories of Shoko's gossip, Satoru's laughter, and Suguru's warmth are ghosts that haunt you, their absence a painful reminder of the life you once knew.
In the stillness of the night, you sometimes catch yourself hoping for a knock on the door, for Suguru to walk in with that familiar smile, as if everything could go back to the way it was. But reality is harsh, and you know that those days are gone. All you have now are the memories and the lingering hope that somehow, someday, things might change.
Geto Suguru left without saying anything, that day he went on his mission. He was supposed to be back in a day or two—at least that’s what he said during the phone call you shared when he was on that train. His voice, calm and reassuring, echoed in your mind long after the call ended. But that was the last time you heard his voice. The last time he called you. It was him getting off your seesaw game, finally stepping out of your world and leaving you with nothing but a broken heart.
And yet, he was never your boyfriend. You and him kept up the pretense, a delicate dance of closeness and distance, never truly naming what you had. The word "casual" was used way too much, a shield to protect fragile hearts from the vulnerability of the word "love." You remember the nights spent together, the conversations that felt like they meant something more, but neither of you dared to cross that line.
You often think back to that call, replaying every word, every nuance in his voice. It was supposed to be just another mission, nothing out of the ordinary. But something shifted, something changed, and Suguru never came back. His departure was like a cruel twist of fate, leaving you grappling with unanswered questions and unspoken feelings.
In the aftermath, you were left to navigate the wreckage alone. The routines you shared, the subtle intimacy of your connection, all shattered. The memories of his touch, his laugh, the way he looked at you when he thought you weren’t watching—they haunt you, a bittersweet reminder of what could have been.
You’ve tried to move on, to piece together a semblance of normalcy, but the void Suguru left is vast and unrelenting. The "casual" facade you both maintained now feels like a cruel joke, the missed opportunities for something deeper, more meaningful, a constant source of regret. You wonder if he ever felt the same, if he ever wanted to bridge the gap between you, but the answers are lost to the silence he left behind.
The seesaw game you played, the delicate balance of give and take, is now a lonely ride. You’re left suspended in midair, longing for the weight of his presence to bring you back down. But all you have are memories and the lingering ache of a love that was never fully realized, a connection that was always just out of reach.
The room was quiet, the only sound was the soft hum of the city outside the window. You lay there, the sheets tangled around your legs, your mind spinning with a mix of emotions. Suguru was next to you, propped up on one elbow, his dark eyes watching you intently.
"That was... something." you finally said, breaking the silence.
Suguru chuckled softly, a sound that sent a shiver down your spine. "Yeah, it was," he agreed. "Unexpected, but not unwelcome."
You nodded, trying to keep your expression neutral. "Yeah, it was nice. Just, you know, casual."
"Right, casual. I know, doll." Suguru echoed, his gaze lingering on you a moment longer before he looked away. "No strings attached."
"Exactly, yeah…." you said, forcing a smile. "We're both busy, and this doesn't have to mean anything more than... what it was."
"Yeah." he said, his voice a bit quieter. "Just a one-time thing. No need to complicate things."
You felt a pang in your chest but ignored it, keeping your tone light. "Right, no need to complicate things. We have enough going on with our missions and training."
"Absolutely, you’re right." Suguru said, but his purple eyes told a different story. There was a flicker of something deeper, something more, but it was quickly masked by a casual smile. "We're just two friends who had a good time."
"Exactly." you repeated, wishing you could believe it. "......Just two friends."
Suguru reached out, his fingers brushing a strand of hair from your face. "I don't want this to change anything between us, doll." he said softly. "I value what we have."
You nodded, your heart pounding. "Me too. This doesn't have to change anything."
He smiled, but there was a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Good. I'm glad we agree."
You both lay there for a moment longer, the weight of unspoken words hanging between you. Finally, Suguru sighed and rolled onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. "So, breakfast?"
You laughed, the tension breaking slightly. "Yeah, breakfast sounds good."
You felt like crying again, and you hated it. You hated yourself for it. Because there was nothing between you and Suguru. You were casual. It’s been a year, and there was nothing after that. He left you. He chose his path. He chose to burn the world to free himself from torment. But now, you are in torment.
You sat on the edge of your bed, the weight of the silence pressing down on you. The memories of that night haunted you, the way he had looked at you, the way his touch had set your skin on fire. It was casual. Just a one-time thing. That’s what you told yourself, what you both agreed on. But the lie felt like a knife twisting in your gut now.
Suguru had left, and with him, he took the future you had secretly hoped for. You were in love with him. You didn’t want anything to be casual with him. You didn’t want it to be nothing. You wanted more, so much more, and now you knew you would never get anything.
The tears threatened to spill over, and you clenched your fists, trying to hold them back. You hated how weak you felt, how vulnerable. The world moved on, but you were stuck, trapped in a web of your own making. Suguru’s absence was a constant ache, a reminder of what you had lost, what you could never have.
He chose his path, and it led him away from you. It led him to destruction, to a darkness that swallowed him whole. And now, you were left to pick up the pieces of your shattered heart, alone in the vast emptiness of your new apartment. The echoes of your own thoughts were deafening, and the realization that you would never see him again, never hear his voice, never feel his touch—it was almost too much to bear.
You buried your face in your hands, the tears finally escaping, hot and bitter. The sobs wracked your body, each one a painful reminder of your unspoken feelings. You had wanted so much more, but you had been too afraid to ask, too afraid to risk the fragile balance you had. And now, it was too late.
Suguru was gone, and with him, any chance of something more. You were left with memories and regrets, with the knowledge that he had chosen his path, and you were not a part of it. The torment of unrequited love consumed you, a relentless ache that you couldn’t escape. You cried for what was, for what could have been, and for the future that would never be.
There was a strange stillness in the air, a quiet that felt almost suffocating. It felt different tonight. You sat on the edge of your bed, staring blankly at the wall, your thoughts a tangled mess of memories and regrets. The knock on your door was so soft, you almost didn't hear it. For a moment, you thought you had imagined it, but then it came again, more insistent this time.
You wiped your eyes, forcing yourself to stand. Each step toward the door felt like walking through quicksand, your heart pounding in your chest. You weren't expecting anyone. As you reached for the doorknob, a part of you wondered if you were dreaming, if the grief had finally driven you mad.
You opened the door slowly, the hinges creaking in protest. And there he was. Geto Suguru stood in the doorway, looking every bit as if you remembered him, but different somehow. His eyes held a depth of sadness, a haunted look that mirrored your own. He seemed exhausted. As much as you, you think. But you say nothing for a few moments. You just stare at him, as though trying to be sure you weren’t hallucinating.
"Suguru?" Your voice was barely a whisper, the word catching in your throat.
He gave you a small, almost hesitant smile. "Hey."
"What are you doing here?" you asked, your voice trembling with emotions. “Why—”
"I needed to see you, doll." he said softly. "I just had to see you tonight….will you let me in?”
You don’t know how he found out your address. Or how he was able to know which apartment block yours was. But you didn’t say anything. You didn’t want to force anything tonight. You nodded and stepped back, allowing him to enter. The silence between you was heavy, filled with all the words that had been left unsaid. You closed the door and turned to face him, your heart aching with a mix of hope and fear.
"Why now?" you asked, your eyes searching for him. “Why come back to me now? I….I’m not…”
He looks at you, almost longingly. “I don’t know.”
The weight of Suguru's confession hung in the air, but before you could process it, he spoke again, breaking the silence. "I know this is unexpected. I know I don't have the right to just show up here like this, but I need to talk to you.”
You stepped back, the doorway now feeling like a chasm between you. "Suguru, this is a bad idea. You shouldn’t be—”
He took a hesitant step inside, his presence filling the space. "I just want to talk. Please."
The room felt smaller, more suffocating, with him in it. The tension was palpable, a fragile thread that could snap at any moment. He glanced around the room, his eyes lingering on familiar objects—things that hadn't changed since he left. Things he wished wouldn't change. From the corner of his eye, he could see it. That uniform button he left behind. He purses his lips.
"How are you?" he asked, his voice low and careful.
You crossed your arms, trying to hold yourself together. "How do you think I am, Suguru? There's an order to kill you on the spot. If people find out you're here with me, the higher ups will get me.”
He flinched at your words, a shadow passing over his face. "I know the risks. I wouldn't have come if I didn't think it was important."
You shook your head, frustration and fear mingling in your chest. "Important? You think this is important? You left, Suguru. You choose your path, and it has nothing to do with me. Now you show up out of nowhere, and you want to talk?"
"I had to." he said, his voice almost pleading. "I've made so many mistakes, but leaving you was the worst one. I had to see you, to tell you how I feel."
Your heart ached at his words, but the reality of the situation loomed large. "And what do you expect me to do with that information? Do you want me to just forgive and forget? To pretend like everything's fine when it's not?"
He took another step closer, his eyes searching yours. "I don't expect anything. I just needed you to know. I needed to try and make things right."
You looked away, the emotions swirling inside you too much to bear. "Suguru, you don't understand. It's not just about us. If they find out you're here, they'll kill you. And I'll be branded a traitor."
He nodded slowly, understanding the gravity of your words. "I know. And I'm sorry for putting you in this position. But I couldn't stay away. Not anymore."
The room was thick with tension, the weight of everything unsaid pressing down on you both. You wanted to reach out, to bridge the gap between you, but the fear of the consequences held you back.
"I don't know what to do." you admitted, your voice breaking. "I don't know how…I don’t know how to handle this."
Suguru stepped closer, his hand hovering near yours. "You don't have to do anything. Just let me be here, even if it's just for a little while. Let me be with you."
You looked up at him, the pain and regret in his eyes mirroring your own. The risk was enormous, but the pull of your heart was stronger. For a moment, you allowed yourself to imagine that things could be different, that maybe, somehow, you could find a way through this together.
But reality crashed back down, harsh and unyielding. "Suguru, this can't last. You know that."
He nodded, his expression filled with sorrow. "I know. But for now, can we just..."
You took a deep breath, the conflict tearing you apart. "Okay. For now."
Suguru’s eyes softened at your words, relief washing over his features. The air between you was thick with unspoken emotions, the tension palpable. You could feel your resolve wavering, the walls you had built around your heart crumbling with every passing second.
He took another step closer, closing the distance between you. His hand reached out, gently brushing against yours. The touch was electric, sending a shiver down your spine. You looked up at him, your breath catching in your throat as his gaze held yours.
“For now.” he repeated softly, his voice filled with a mixture of hope and longing.
You couldn’t hold back any longer. The months of separation, the endless nights of aching for him, all came crashing down in that moment. You closed the gap between you, your lips finding his in a desperate, hungry kiss.
Suguru responded instantly, his arms wrapping around you, pulling you closer. The kiss was intense, filled with all the emotions you had both kept bottled up for so long. It was as if you were trying to make up for lost time, to pour all your love and longing into that single, searing connection.
Your hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, needing to feel him, to assure yourself that he was really there. Suguru’s hands roamed over your back, his touch igniting a fire within you. The kiss deepened, growing more fervent, more desperate. You broke the kiss just long enough to catch your breath, your foreheads resting against each other. The intensity of your emotions left you both breathless, but neither of you pulled away.
“Suguru.” you whispered, your voice trembling with the weight of everything you felt.
“I know.” he murmured, his breath warm against your lips. “I know.”
You kissed him again, this time even more passionately, your need for him overwhelming any lingering doubts. His hands slid under your shirt, his touch sending sparks of electricity through your body. You gasped against his lips, your body responding to him in ways you had tried to forget.
The world outside ceased to exist, the only thing that mattered was Suguru. Being here with you. The kiss grew more intense, a fierce clash of lips and tongues, as if you were both trying to make up for the lost time, for all the moments you had been apart.
Suguru’s hands moved to your waist, lifting you effortlessly and guiding you toward the bed. You didn’t resist, your body craving his touch, his closeness. As he laid you down gently, his lips never leaving yours, you felt a sense of rightness, a feeling that this was where you were meant to be.
His body pressed against yours, the heat between you growing more intense. Every touch, every kiss, was a reminder of what you had lost and found again. Your hands roamed over his back, pulling him closer, needing to feel every inch of him.
“Suguru.” you whispered, your voice filled with a mixture of need and desperation.
He responded with a soft groan, his lips trailing down your neck, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. “I’ve missed you so much, doll.” he murmured against your skin. “Too much…”
You arched into his touch, your body responding to him in ways you had almost forgotten. The intensity of your desire for him was overwhelming, a force you couldn’t control. You pulled him back up, capturing his lips in another searing kiss.
As the kiss deepened, the intensity grew, the passion between you igniting like a wildfire. And for the first time in a long time, you allowed yourself to hope, to believe that maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for something more.
The walls themselves felt like they were closing in, drawn tighter by the charged energy of the moment. The temperature seemed to rise with every movement, the warmth of your bodies pressed together creating a cocoon of intimacy and passion.
You moaned against the kiss, feeling his hand around the back of your neck, his fingers tangling in your hair. He was always so good at making you defenseless when it came to him. When it came to Suguru, you surrendered without a fight.
His lips trailed down your jawline, planting heated kisses along the sensitive skin of your neck. Each touch sent shivers down your spine, your body arching into him, craving more. His other hand roamed over your back, his touch firm yet gentle, as if he were memorizing every inch of you.
"You have no idea how much I've missed this." he whispered against your skin, his breath hot and tantalizing. “How much I missed you.”
You could barely form words, your mind clouded with desire. "S–suguru…." you breathed, your voice trembling with need.
He pulled back just enough to look into your eyes, his own gaze dark with intensity. "Say it, doll." he urged, his voice a low, husky command. “Use your words.”
"Suguru, please." you repeated, feeling the heat of his name on your lips, the weight of it in the air between you. “I need you.”
A satisfied smile curved his lips before he kissed you again, deeper this time, his tongue exploring your mouth with a fierce, possessive hunger. You responded eagerly, your hands clutching at his shoulders, pulling him closer, needing to feel him, to lose yourself in him.
His hand slid down from your neck to the small of your back, pulling you against him, your bodies fitting together perfectly. The sensation was almost overwhelming, a mix of intense pleasure and deep, unfulfilled longing. Your heart pounded in your chest, the sound echoing in your ears, drowning out any remaining doubts.
As the kiss grew more fervent, more desperate, you felt yourself melting into him, your defenses crumbling with every touch, every caress. Suguru had always had this effect on you, this ability to make you forget everything else, to make you feel like you were the only two people in the world.
"I missed you." you whispered against his lips, the confession slipping out before you could stop it.
He groaned in response, his hand sliding up under your shirt, his touch searing against your skin. "I missed you too, doll." he murmured, his voice thick with desire. "More than you know."
As he continued to kiss you, his hands exploring your body with a reverence that made your heart ache, you realized that no matter what happened next, no matter the consequences, this moment was worth it. Being with Suguru, feeling his love, his desire, his need—it was everything you had ever wanted, everything you had been missing.
And in that instant, you knew you would face any danger, any threat, just to keep him here with you, to hold onto this feeling for as long as you could. Because when it came to Suguru, you were willing to surrender without a fight.
The heat between you was almost unbearable, the intensity of your desire for Suguru consuming you. His hands continued their exploration, each touch sending waves of pleasure through your body. You could feel his need, his desperation, mirrored in your own.
"Suguru…" you whispered again, your voice a mix of longing and urgency.
He responded with a deep, passionate kiss, his tongue delving into your mouth, tasting, exploring. Your hands roamed over his back, pulling him closer, needing to feel every inch of him against you. The sensation of his body pressed against yours was intoxicating, driving you to the brink of madness.
His hand slid under your shirt, his fingers tracing a path up your spine, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. You arched into his touch, a soft moan escaping your lips as he reached the clasp of your bra, deftly undoing it. The feeling of his hands on your bare skin was electric, every nerve ending alive with sensation.
"You feel so good, doll." he murmured against your lips, his voice husky with desire.
His words sent a shiver down your spine, your body responding instinctively. You tugged at his shirt, needing to feel his skin against yours. He helped you, pulling it over his head and tossing it aside, revealing the toned muscles of his chest and abdomen.
You ran your hands over his chest, your fingers tracing the lines of his muscles, feeling the heat of his skin beneath your touch. He groaned softly, his hands moving to your hips, pulling you closer. The feel of his arousal against your thigh sent a surge of desire through you, your need for him growing more intense with every passing second.
He lifted your shirt over your head, his eyes darkened with lust as he took in the sight of you. "You're beautiful." he said, his voice filled with admiration.
You blushed under his gaze, feeling a mix of shyness and exhilaration. "Suguru." you breathed, reaching for him.
He kissed you again, hungrier than before. You could feel his hands sliding down to your jeans, unbuttoning them with practiced ease. You helped him, pushing the fabric down your hips, kicking them off along with your underwear. The cool air against your skin was a stark contrast to the heat between you, heightening your senses.
Suguru's eyes roamed over your body, his expression one of reverence and hunger. He reached for you, his hands gentle yet firm as he guided you back onto the bed. You lay there, your heart pounding, as he stripped off the rest of his clothes, revealing the full extent of his arousal.
He climbed onto the bed, his body hovering over yours, the heat of his skin radiating against you. He kissed you again, his lips trailing down your neck, your collarbone, his hands exploring every inch of you. The sensation was almost overwhelming, your body arching into his touch, craving more.
"I need you." he whispered against your skin, his voice filled with urgency.
"Then take me." you replied, your voice trembling with anticipation.
He positioned himself between your legs, his hands gripping your hips as he slowly entered you. The sensation was exquisite, a mix of pleasure and pain that left you gasping, your body adjusting to the fullness of him.
"So deep, Su…." you moaned, your hands clutching at his back, your nails digging into his skin.
He moved slowly at first, his strokes deep and measured, his eyes locked onto yours. The intensity of his gaze, the connection between you, was almost too much to bear. You wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling him deeper, urging him on.
He responded with a groan, his pace quickening, each thrust sending waves of pleasure through your body. You moved together in perfect rhythm, your bodies melding into one, the world outside fading away.
Every touch, every kiss, every movement—each a story of love and desire you felt for each other. The intensity built with each passing second, your moans mingling with his, the sound of your bodies coming together filling the room.
"S–suguru!" you gasped, feeling the tension building, the climax approaching. “I….I’m close!”
He kissed you deeply, his movements becoming more frantic, more desperate. "I love you, doll." he whispered against your lips, his voice raw with emotion. “More than you know.”
The words sent you over the edge, your body convulsing with pleasure, your vision blurring as the orgasm washed over you. Suguru followed moments later, releasing a powerful, shuddering wave that left him breathless, his body collapsing against yours.
You lay there together, your bodies intertwined, the aftermath of your lovemaking leaving you both spent and sated. For a moment, the world was perfect, the dangers and fears forgotten. In that moment, all that mattered was the love you shared, the connection that bound you together.
Suguru propped himself up on one elbow, his gaze tender as he looked down at you. You turned to face him, your eyes heavy with a mixture of satisfaction and lingering emotions. He stroked your hair gently, his touch soothing.
"I know I’ve been gone for a long time.”
“You have.”
“I’m sorry for leaving you without any explanation." He whispered to you. “For making you suffer.”
You sighed, closing your eyes as you listened to his words. "It’s been really hard. I didn’t know if you were ever coming back. And when you did… it was like opening old wounds all over again."
Suguru’s fingers traced patterns on your back, his touch calming. "I understand. I’ve had time to think about everything, and I realize now how much I hurt you. I didn’t mean to. But I needed to see you, to try to make things right, even if I’m not sure how."
You looked up at him, your eyes filled with a mix of sadness and hope. "What do you want from me, Suguru? What do we do now?"
He took a deep breath, his expression serious. "I don’t expect things to go back to how they were before. I just want to be honest with you.”
The sincerity in his voice touched something deep inside you. You took his hand, squeezing it gently. "You’re someone dear to me, Suguru. You always will be.”
You could see how painfully beautiful his smile was. And just as much, how easily he started to grieve this moment. “I know.”
You snuggled closer to him, your body seeking the warmth and comfort of his embrace. As the weight of the conversation and the exhaustion from the emotional rollercoaster began to take their toll, you felt yourself growing drowsy.
Suguru’s arms tightened around you, his presence a soothing balm to your restless heart. "You should get some rest," he murmured, his voice gentle. "I’ll be here until you fall asleep."
You nodded, your eyes fluttering shut as the comforting rhythm of his heartbeat lulled you into a peaceful slumber. The feeling of his body pressed against yours, the gentle caress of his hand on your back, was all you needed to drift off.
When you awoke, it was to the soft, hesitant brush of Suguru’s lips against yours. You stirred, your eyes blinking open to find him gazing at you with a mixture of sadness and affection.
“I have to go, doll,” Suguru said quietly, his voice filled with regret. “But I’ll be thinking of you. Always. Wherever I go, wherever I am. I’ll only love you. Only you.”
You didn’t know what to say to that. The weight of his words hung heavily in the air, each syllable resonating deep within you. You wanted to respond, to find the right words to express how much his declaration meant to you, but the lump in your throat made it difficult to speak.
Instead, you simply reached out, your hand finding his, holding it tightly as if trying to anchor him to this moment. His fingers intertwined with yours, and for a brief second, you found solace in the connection, the warmth of his touch providing a bittersweet comfort.
Suguru leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, his lips lingering as if trying to imprint the memory of your skin on his own. His eyes met yours one last time, filled with an intensity that spoke of a deep and unspoken promise.
“Take care of yourself, doll.” he whispered, his voice barely more than a breath. “Live for me.”
You nodded, your eyes misting as you tried to hold back the tears. “I will. You too, Suguru. Be safe.
He kissed you one last time, a tender, lingering kiss that seemed to hold all the words left unspoken. His lips brushed against yours with a softness that belied the intensity of the emotions swirling between you. It was a kiss that conveyed both farewell and the depth of his feelings, a final, aching promise wrapped in the warmth of his touch.
As he pulled away, his eyes searched for yours, filled with a profound sadness that matched the heaviness in your heart. There was a moment where time seemed to stand still, where every second stretched into eternity. The look he gave you was a mixture of regret and deep affection, as if he were trying to imprint this final moment into his memory, to hold onto it even as he had to let go.
With a final, loving glance, he slowly rose from the bed, the movement reluctant and heavy. The contrast between the intimacy you had shared moments before and the distance growing between you now felt like a cruel irony. He began to dress, his actions slow and methodical, each movement a reminder of the separation that loomed ahead.
You watched him, feeling a hollow ache settle in your chest. The sight of him buttoning his shirt, pulling on his jacket, seemed to magnify the reality of his departure. Each piece of clothing he put on felt like a barrier, a wall being erected between you. The warmth of his touch was replaced by the cold distance of impending goodbye.
When he finally finished dressing, he paused by the door, turning back to you with one last, lingering look. His eyes were filled with a mixture of sorrow and determination, the kind of gaze that promised he would carry you with him, even as he walked away. The sight of him standing there, so close yet so far, was almost too much to bear.
He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself, and then slowly walked toward the door. Each step he took felt like a betrayal to the moment you had shared, each creak of the floorboards a painful reminder of the separation. As he reached the door, he turned to look at you one last time, his expression a final plea for you to understand.
“Goodbye, doll.” he said softly, his voice breaking slightly with the weight of his emotions.
With those final words, he opened the door and stepped out into the hallway, leaving you alone in the room that now felt unbearably empty. The door closed behind him with a soft click, and the sound echoed in the silence that followed.
You sat there, feeling the overwhelming sense of loss, the weight of his absence pressing down on you. The room, once filled with the warmth of his presence, now felt cold and desolate. You reached out to the space he had occupied, your hand trembling as if trying to grasp at the remnants of his touch.
The tears finally came, streaming down your face in silent, aching sobs. The finality of his departure settled in, leaving you with the bittersweet memory of his touch, his kisses, and the love you had shared. As you buried your face in your hands, the pain of his absence was a stark reminder of the reality you had to face, the love that remained but was now out of reach.
You lay back down on the bed, the lingering warmth of his presence a bittersweet comfort. Yearning for what remained of him. The reality of his departure settled in, slowly. Tears kept falling and you couldn’t stop them. When you closed your eyes, all you could see was him.
You cried until you were too tired to do it. And as you drifted back to sleep, you held onto the memory of his touch, his kisses, and the promise that, despite everything, he would always be a part of your heart. He would always be your ghost. He would always haunt you, even when you’re old and gray — he would always be more than a casual memory. He’d always be the one that got away. And you knew….you were his too.

Honey Has Value
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Leon's first mission, everyone warned him about the merchants that come every once in a while during dangerous situations. Nobody knows them. But everyone trusts them enough. Even Krauser, who was very sensitive in whom to trust with his weaponry. The merchants are the most chaotic neutral people who would sell to any person who had enough gold or anything in value. During one of his missions, Leon finally saw one of the merchants.
content: smut
notes: pre resident evil four; afab fem!reader; he forgot to socialize thanks to working in the military; reader is pretty femme by wearing a black dress; sexual frustrations coming from leon; small mentions of rotting flesh, leon is an awkward flirt; guys, even though i write smut, i hate booktok, does that make sense or i'm giltching in the system. smallish smut, little story.
taglist: @argreion
Leon could believe in Umbrella's cruel experiments. He had seen these monsters who are kindly called bioweapons, and even though Leon isn't forced to fight against them. He sometimes saw the creatures they turned into, and that was enough for a young rookie cop to see. He then had to mistrust his own government for wanting to harm a young child. Leon panicked and immediately a blackmail was tied around his throat.
A perfect noose around him. A traumatized man can't go back to his old life. Leon had to help a girl he barely saw in the tragedy of Raccoon City.
All because of his stupid want to help people. He was sinking in this damn hole depression, and he wasn't even allowed to go to therapy. When he was excited to talk to Claire, she wasn't there because she was still searching her missing brother.
Leon was alone. Leon didn't even have time with Sherry.
He believed in all of these faults of the world. It was a nasty cruel world that could barely be saved. Leon didn't even save Sherry. That was thanks to Claire. In that night, he didn't save anyone, and he trusted a bad person who fell to her death. Every inch of Leon's body knew guilt, the disappointment of the world, and bioweapons.
But why couldn't Leon didn't believe in this random ass Merchant? Merchants sounded like scumbags and fake to the bone yet everyone in his section of soldiers swore up and down that they are real and good enough.
They only appear in missions. The government doesn't pay for them to help. And none of them are the same person over and over. One had a handsome man with a bow tie; another had an elder woman, and lastly, Krauser even said he had dealt with a pair of twins. That's what made Leon struggle to believe this was real.
None of these people were truly scared to show their faces, but they all had the same name of merchant.
They had no true agenda. No sense of good or bad.
Leon hoped to never see them in his own missions. He didn't care if they had helped them before, Leon wasn't interested in them no matter how much.
His mission was down south. He had to learn Spanish in case the issues came to his language, but he knew the main part of the mission. A couple of normal soldiers came here, and we were murdered by a couple infected by the T. Leon was the next best option.
And Leon came ready. If a merchant was going to be there, he'll ignore them, no matter who it is.
Once he entered the place, it was a lonely village that was nearby an Umbrella lab, so he had already concluded who was going to be here. His heart beaten fast when he saw a person infected by the T. A poor woman whose skin was rotted away. Leon killed her without a second doubt. Even if Leon had the cure in his hand, he wouldn't want to use it on her, especially with the heat of the brutal summer.
Not only was her skin rotted. There was hole in skull that he didn't even make.
"How unfortunate," Leon immediately turned to whom it belonged to, "Seeing death is always unforgivable." A woman with a black dress was behind a desk of items. Due to the circumstances, she was hauntingly beautiful with the death surrounding her. It took a moment for Leon to realize it. She is a merchant.
"Hi, stranger." She smiled politely at Leon.
"Hi." Leon said firmly.
She played with string of pearls around her neck, "I'll be helping you with.... your situations." She seemed so nonchalant, her voice was relaxed as if the danger could never harm her.
"Situations..." Leon looked around her store of items. She had almost everything in this little place, a small box with a strange symbol planted on the center. "I'm sure you are betting for to get into those situations." Leon muttered. But she shook her head. It was almost automatic.
"Goodness, no!" She exclaimed loudly. "My services are here to help you. To assist you." She placed her gloved hand between him and her. "May I? Free of charge."
There was a silence between them. Begrudgingly, Leon handed his gun to her, "Careful with it." He muttered.
She grabbed the gun, "SG-09 R. Quite impressive." She clocked it and checked the modifications in the gun. "Fast, strong, and made by Kendo." She pointed the gun towards a section and shot a glass bottle. "But I can make better. Especially with the control of the government." She broke up the gun and grabbed a small bottle of oil to ease up the details of gun. "Do I permission to change the glock?"
Leon nodded his head.
The merchant got into work, she brought out the small tools to work on the gun, and changed very small details of the gun. After a couple of short minutes, she twirled the gun back into place. "Here you go, stranger." The merchant handed the gun back to its owner.
Leon lifted the gun and noticed the differences. She didn't change the drastic differences of the poor gun, but it made it functional for the monsters. He pulled on the trigger and shot the a piece of wood. The gun shot faster.
She grabbed a rag and cleaned her gloved hands. "It's easy as they come." She smiled. Her fingers returned back to her pearls, dragging the details bit by bit. "I love helping the new."
Leon wished he was normal. His dumb mind entered cave man for like three seconds. Maybe it was the small praise he got from her or how the merchant spoke to him without belittling him. He felt his cock twitch, "Yeah, thanks." He awkwardly put his gun back to its holster.
He promised himself the less impossible thing ever. Leon was spending a lot of time with the merchant, he saw her how her knife formed small knick knacks from wood. "Look." The merchang leaned to show him. It was small wooden figure of him. Leon took in a sharp exhale.
"Nice." He whispered softly.
"I give them to the other merchants so they can sell them." The merchant smiled. Her painting was very gentle, every brush was made with love. "Why sell them?" Leon asked. "It's like discount. If you have this." She lifted a small shield-like charm, "You'll have an upgrade with any merchant."
"Oh, that's great." Leon eyed her face, "So, if another merchant sees it, they'll automatic give you that help."
The merchant smiled, "Exactly." She continued the paint and Leon was just looking at her, "So, what perks will I get if I buy my small keychain?" He whispered softly. The merchant sighed softly, "Mm, well, how about 30% off when I fixed that knife of yours."
Leon nodded his head as he continued to look.
As time passed and such, Leon did his job and then immediately went to her section to 'buy' stuff. All that time of bothering the merchant, he finally got what he wanted as she pumped his cock.
She was on her knees as she pumped his cock into her mouth, Leon's hips moved up, "Fuck." The merchant rubbed the red tip and sucked it gently. He needed this after so long. Leon's hands covered his face, his cheeks were red and he was ultra sensitive over everything. The merchant rubbed Leon's tip around her lips and left his pre cum around them.
He chewed on his lips trying to keep quiet in case an infected could find them. The merchant's hand pumped his length, "I do the first time free." She teased him. Her hand slide down his cock and massaged his balls. He didn't know if she spoke the truth, but he was willing to pay for this again. The merchant's tongue dragged against his shaft and kissed the tip. "Just fuck me. Please."
The merchant shook her head, "You'll need your energy for the fights." She looked at his cock and placed his needy self inside of her mouth. She gagged weakly, his hips weakly moved against the merchant's mouth. He needed to cum and go back to work. His hands traveled around his pecs and squeezed them, he noticed the merchant noticing those details. Leon blushed but didn't stop himself as he played with nipples.
Flicking them a bit trying to help the simulation. She bobbed her head faster and he groaned. "Fuck, fuck-" His cum erupted into the merchant's mouth and it slowly fell out, she licked the mess without an issue. Leon groaned loudly feel his body relax bit by bit. His eyes completely soften and gently caressed her face, "Mm, thank you."
When Leon was back on his feet, he felt her hands smoothing out the wrinkles of his shirt. He felt too easy, but he liked her touch.
As the sun set above him, the merchant waved politely a goodbye to Leon; He simply nodded his head, his legs were a bit weak, but he had to go back to his job.
The next time he was with the Merchant, he was between her dress. He licked her pussy, his hands opened her thighs to shove himself deeper. Her cunt was keeping him sane after the brutal fights, her hands grabbed his hair and pulled his straight blond hair. Leon growled weakly, "Please, I just need your cum." No extra steps, he wanted it. His tongue moved around her clit and once he heard the merchant's moan he focused on it more.
His fingers shoved inside of her pussy and pumped them in and out. His tongue licked the wetness that poured into his hand. His finger curled up and fucked her up. The merchant's legs squirmed around Leon. He licked up the pretty hole and removed his fingers again, her thighs clenched around his face as he fucked her with his tongue. Flicking it over and over, he pulled it out and sucked her clit. She groaned loudly, her legs opened a bit, and Leon kissed her thighs over and over. The merchant released, Leon's fingers rubbed gently her cunt and licked the mess.
He was thankful for the merchant's services.

hey so how do you think Donnie rise would deal with having a s/o who is the common sense one of the couple? Like donnie over thinks and s/o is just like “sweetie. April’s just busy with work. She’s not avoiding you”. And s/o ends up being right. Or when he’s trying to fix something tech related and he goes over all the complicated variables and s/o is like “Have you tried putting it backwards?” He is none believing at first, but he puts it backwards anyway and suddenly the machine works and he laments in his head about classic donnie overthink. The times when he is right though s/o’s like “Fuck it up! I support you!”?
I like this idea. It’s an interesting dynamic to think about, especially considering how unhinged Donnie is…
Donnie X Logical! Reader [ROMANTIC]
Tumblr media
Donnie usually has the most common sense out of all of his brothers, which honestly isn’t a lot. At all. It’s a very low bar to beat.
But you’re the voice of reason in the relationship. You may not be as tech smart as him, but you’re a hell of a lot more logical in other ways.
Donnie overthinks A LOT. So having a partner who’s reassuring and reasonable is something that he would benefit from immensely.
even if he puts up a bit of a fight first…
He doesn’t like the feeling of people being smarter than him. That’s HIS thing, HE’S the smart guy. So sometimes your tendencies annoy him.
He’s not really mad at you, more so mad at himself for not seeing how obvious it was.
His brothers appreciate you because you help calm him down. While he can never truly be tamed, you help keep him in line, in a way.
And the times you agree with him are the BEST.
As soon as you give him the ‘OK’ he is grinning like a maniac.
When you’re not there, he probably thinks ‘what would they do?’ And either do that or completely ignore that. He’s chaotic neutral you guys.
If you’re not with him when he needs advice, he also might just text you. You probably get random texts at ungodly hours of the night.
“Is it really that bad to test my weapons on my brothers?”
Seriously though, his brothers are big fans of you. You help him control his chaotic side. (And also a bit of his brothers too, bc duh.)
He’s not the most emotionally available in general..but he tries to express how he’s feeling further along in the relationship.
At first in the relationship he mainly brags and shows off WAY more than he used to. He wants to impress you.
And maybe hear you say your proud of him
ITS NOT JUST HIS DAD HE WANTS APPROVAL FROM OKAY??!!!
He definitely texts u a lot <33
You guys are a duo and bring out the best in eachother, that I can say with confidence.
Hope you liked these!!! They took like 40 mins to come up with 😭

Looped Sun 6
Loop #205
Grian: Scar! How have you done this?
Scar: C'mon Grian, I learnt you can make more potions then normal and I wasn't supposed to try one?
Grian : Not on me Scar! I look ridiculus!
Scar: Nooo! You look cool!
Grian: I'm a kid! I look 8 at most!
Scar: Hmmm... I have an idea!
Grian: I won't like, it will I?
Scar: This is Grain, Grian's son! Taking care of him while G is away!
Grian: I hate you...
Stress: Aww that's so nice of you, I didn't know Grian had a kid though.
Scar: Oh I didn't either! Grian said that he wanted to wait a bit to introduce him!
Grian: I will get revenge.
Stress: Oh! I see, well that make sense. He is quite the grumpy one isn't he?
Scar: Oh yeah! Definitely!
Stress: Oh, sorry but I better go now. Got lunch with Iskall!
Scar: Oh It's no problem! By Stress!
...
Grian: You will regret this, do you know how many awws I have gotten already?
Loop #206
Grian: Revenge. Sweet Revenge!
Scar: Hey, that's not fair! I turned you 8, I look 3!
Grian: Sucks doesn't it? Well now we'll see who gets the last laugh.
Stress: Oh Grian, who is that little cutie? Yours?
Grian: He's Scar's.
Stress: Oh! I didn't know you were a thing!
Grian: What, wait that isn't-
Stress: Isn't it a bit early for a kid though?
Grian: No, you misunderstand-
Stress: Oh damn I need to go! Sorry G, see you later.
Grian: I...
Scar: ... Well that didn't go like you wanted to did it?
Grian: ... I...did she really?.... What the hell just happened?
Loop #209
Pearl was truly enjoying this Empires loop, no demons, no rifts, just regular fun with her friends.
Scott: Hey Pearl, do you think you could help me nake the next looper proof escape room?
And suddenly her loop became a lot of a hell better.
Loop #212
Waking up in an outer plane wasn't part of Grian's plans for this loop but he could deal with it... probably. Checking his surrounded he realized even without checking his loops memories that he was in Limbo... Aka the chaotic neutral dimension aka pure chaos central. This was fine, Grian could live in chaos, he was used to it... Didn't make getting randomly hit by a piece of cheese going at supersonic speed any better.
Scar woke up in a wonderful place, with fresh water and sweet fruit and big big trees, he knew that he would build trees like these as soon as he could because they were oh do gorgeus. Scar didn't ever want to leave such a beautiful and colorful place, ever... The following loop Scar was informed by Grian that that was Arborea, plane of chaotic good and especially known for being extremely addictive.
Pearl hated this actually. To be fair Pandemonium wasn't too bad for a plane if you didn't count the chill...and howling wind...and smell of rot...and demon infestation... Ok it was pretty bad actually but it would have been fine if it wasn't for the alignement. Chaotic neutral she could get but chaotic evil? For real? She knew she could get unhinged as Scarlet Pearl but chaotic evil??? Really world tree? Really?
Scott didn't know what to think, on one of hand Mechanus as the lawful neutral plane wasn't as dangerous as some of the others darker ones... on the other hand this place was just so dull and gray and lifeless he considered jumping in the void. He had tried to convince the people here that a lot of every colour would be as balanced as there not being any but did they listen? No, they didn't. He knew he could get to Baator from there and while he didn't really see himself as lawful evil he was really tempted to do it if it meant feeling something.
Loop #215
Grian: Red King?
Ren: You have finally arrived, what is the meaning of this meeting?
Grian: I have a challenge.
Ren: A challenge? You dare?
Grian: I do. I challenge you to a duel, one on one.
Ren: For what?
Grian: I challenge you for the red crown.
The court all gasped in shock.
Ren: I see... and what if you lose.
Grian: My 3 lives, be it death or servitude, they will be yours.
Ren: ... All 3 you say? I agree.
Grian: Of course.
Ren didn't know how many loops Grian had praticed sword combat for this exact moment and well, he didn't have to know.
Loop #218
It took a lot of effort on all their parts and 3 fails but finally Scott and Grian had managed the most difficult and stressful challenge yet...
Jimmy: I won? I won!
Jimmy had won one of the life games, Scott was tearing up just thinking about it.
Loop #220
CGem!Pearl: Another pearl? A looper?
Pearl: Oh yes, It's nice to meet you, my name is Pearl...hence being a pearl.
CGem!Pearl: Oh! Oh my! Well, this is unexpected!
Steven: Oh that's going to be confusing. You can be uhhh... Red!
Pearl: Hmmm, what about Scarlet?
Steven: Uhhh, Scarlet? That's a type of red right? I like it.
Pearl: Oh, hello there mate.
Amethyst: Heeey... say, you wanna ditch this place and go smash some stuff?
Pearl: Of course I would love that.
Amethyst: Woo, wonder what weapon you have.
Pearl: It's a scythe.
Amethyst: Sick.
Garnet: Hmpfff.
CGem!Pearl: We should form Sardonyx, don't you agree Garne-
Fire Opal: Oh there's no need!
CGem!Pearl: Wait Amethyst did you-
Steven: Giant woman! Wait? Scarlet?
Fire Opal: Oh I'm ready to smash some bits!
Steven: Wooo!
Fire Opal then proceeded to destroy a ship with her kusarigama.
Steven: So... why Scarlet? If you don't mind me asking.
Pearl: Oh It's a reference to that time I went insane in a game because my friends left me.
Steven: ...
Pearl: Sorry, that's a bit weird.
Steven: Oh no! It's not! ... I turned into a giant pink lizard dino thing once I'm not judging.
Loop #225
Scott: Grian, are you crying?
Grian: N-No.
Scott: You are... what happened.
Grian: Just... You know Grumbot?
Scott: The robot you and Mumbo made?
Grian: That's the thing, most of the time he is just a robot...but sometimes he isn't! Sometimes he's my actual child and has real feelings and... The emperors still destroy him and I can't do anything about it.
Scott: G-
Grian: And sometimes I can tell that he has a soul and I can feel as he dies while everyone else laughs at it... And then.
Scott: ...go on.
Grian: Sometimes it happens before the loop and I look to my loop memories and realize the me that was there before also didn't care... I got abandoned by my parents in Japan and that is the same in most loops, the last thing I ever wanted was to become like them!
Scott: Come here Grian, let it out.
Loop #227
Scar had almost finished building the new and improved Scarland. He was so excited to show Grian when a cyan and orange portal appeared. That had to be Scott coming straight from New Life!
Scott: Scar! Just the man I was searching for!
Scar: Me?
Scott: So, you are having problems learning about loop because of your dyslexia?
Scar: ... Yeah?
Scott: I was talking to some older loopers last loops and they showed me this library with book copies written in a way to help with dyslexia so I grabbed a few.
Scar: Wait you got me books?
Scott: Yeah. Decided to start small to see if they would work out. If you need more I can show you the next time we loop there.
Scar: I- wow ... Do you want a free tour of Scarland as a thank you?
Scott: Eh, Sure. Why not?
Loop #229
Scott had been waiting for a supervillain variant for a while actually, ever since Grian and Scar had took over the world that time a while back. But still, out of all possible power he didn't get neither ice, fire, magic or colour related. He got electricity manipulation which was pretty op but he couldn't understand.
Scott: I don't get it, why electricity?
Pearl: Didn't you get smitten by lightning back in Last Life?
Scott: Fuck, is this going to become a thing now. At least I don't explode.
Loop #230
Scott: ...
Pearl: Pf...pftt.
Scott: Don't laugh.
Pearl: What did you say last time? At least I don't explode?
Scott: ...
Scott the creeper wasn't amused in the slightliest.
Loop #233
Scott: So, let's see who is who. I'm Mind.
Grian: Heart, mostly because of the eye connection.
Scott: And the purple.
Grian: And the purple, I know... Pearl?
Pearl: Soul! Because of the red probably. I get to have a scythe instead of a trident so that's fine.
Scott: Huh... Then, what about The Whole? Is Scar taking his place?
Pearl: Let me check... hmm, yep.
Scott: One time you tried to sing about...I don't know but it was nothing fucking new-
Pearl: Wrong song!
Scott: What?
Pearl: Storm and a spring is later, we need to do Mucka Blucka right now.
Grian: ~I've been sleeping in a cardboard box spending every dollar on a losing lot-
Pearl: That's The Bidding... You know what fuck this, if you are going to do what you want then I'm skipping to me splitting the ground.
Grian: Wait no no, we are way to early to do the Mind electric... Scar Isn't going to be able to handle it right now.
Scott: And if he does he won't be very happy with us.
Pearl: Alright, let's try again then.
Loop #237
The loop had started normal, Grian should have known it wouldn't last forever but waking up to find all the ground in the world to be replaced by ice.
Grian: How?
Pearl: I am still a goddess of chaos and this specific loop's code is extremely simple to manipulate.
Grian: ... But why?
Pearl: Why not?
Loop #238
Pearl: How dare you?
Grian: What? I didn't do anything.
Pearl: Why did you rotate my base back, do you know how much it took to rotate the first time around?
Grian: Guess you'll have to turn it again!
Loop #239
Grian: You are evil.
Pearl: Oh c'mon, just giving you some encouragement to make a better storage system.
Grian: B-but... why furbies? Why?
Pearl: Horrific little things aren't they? Was talking with Tango about giving them spider legs.
Grian: Why are you like this?
Loop #240
Pearl: You did what?
Grian: Moved your storage ststem...to the moon.
Pearl: You mean the moon that is currently crashing into the world?
Grian: ... Maybe?
Pearl: I see how it is, did you know Tango actually made me some spider furbies before the end of the loop?
Grian: Wait... no.
Pearl: Be prepared. They are coming. You can run but you can't hide.
Loop #245
Scott: You know, if you take like three or four loops in which you learn redstone you would probably be able to surpass Mumbo.
Grian: I would wouldn't I? .... Hmmm...
Loop #250
Mumbo: H-how- Mate? How have you done this?
Grian: It's really quite simple really.
Mumbo: That's- That's my line.
Grian: Mine now.
Loop #251
It was the start of a brand new loop, this one started quite late already in season 10. Grian was sleeping soundly when he was woken up by a frantic sounding Mumbo.
Mumbo: Grian, I had an horrible nightmare.
Grian: Uh huh?
Mumbo: You built a super compact spaceship and I couldn't understand and you used my "It's quite simple" line against me! It was horrible!
Grian: ... Wait.
Loop #252
Mumbo: I-it wasn't a prank?
Grian: Nope.
Scar: Mumbo!!?! You are looping!?
Pearl: Welcome to the loops mate?
Scott: Good luck, you'll need it.

Tumblr media
🩸  ⸺  the most clingiest man ever. From clinging onto your waist if not constantly when you guys are alone, to following you around everywhere you go and holding onto your hand as if he were some body guard, being nosy and peeping himself into your business ( example: phone call ), intrusive staring towards you, sniffing them without context or warning at all, invading personal space ( he has no sense of it ), constant and constant communication, overwhelming relentless and continuous affection, regular rambling and blabbering about how much he loves you and that he would literally do anything for you ( committing crimes such as robbery, credit card fraud, murder, arson, etc etc THE LIST GOES ONNNNN ), no he will not stop any of his suffocating and overwhelming actions until you probably like communicate out your boundaries with him. He grew up with a horrible childhood, he’s not really socially aware of how creepy he can be when he starts to date somebody. It’s very obvious that he’s got an emotional attachment to you.
Tumblr media
୨୧ ᵎᵎ ﹐﹒⟡﹒
🩸  ⸺  despite his history of hooking up with other woman and his chaotic mess of a personality, Trevor truly feels there is a bond with you and him and that there’s actual chemistry, instead of just sex and splitting ways after wards. He loves you so very deeply and isn’t afraid to show you that he loves you, at all.
୨୧ ᵎᵎ ﹐﹒⟡﹒
🩸  ⸺  Trevor is all putty when it comes to you, like a baby kitten. He’s your lil meow meow for real, ESPECIALLY when you give him any form of affection.
୨୧ ᵎᵎ ﹐﹒⟡﹒
🩸  ⸺  takes you out on shopping sprees constantly whenever he can if you’ve got a hobby for shopping ( and yes of course, it’s allllll from Michael’s credit card, in which good ol’ Trev somehow managed to steal from him ) and constantly commits credit card fraud just so he can see you happy, if you TRY to persist he will just say something along the lines of: “sugar tits, no no no… let me spoil you.” And no, he will not take a no for an answer, he’ll even go as far as hiding your form of payment ( cash, credit, debit ) in a place where he knows you won’t find it, because he’s not letting you buy anything for yourself, at all. He’s paying for you, one way or another and he loves you and doesn’t want you to pay for yourself when you’ve got him. It’s a fifty / fifty relationship, he buys you stuff and other needs for you, and you just let him do that for you.
୨୧ ᵎᵎ ﹐﹒⟡﹒
🩸  ⸺  if this man had good grammar AND could write ( because we all know, he cannot write for SHIT. ) you’d be getting those long ass love sappy letters, but IF you were a writer and you did that for him he would be all confused and asking you “huh what’s this say” and then be all a putty, crying even more clingy mess all over you and sobbing that he didn’t deserve you.
୨୧ ᵎᵎ ﹐﹒⟡﹒
🩸  ⸺  before he started to officially date you, he definitely asked Michael ( and probably Wade, Ron, Franklin, and everybody who he knows but mostly Michael before he tells to shut the fuck up when he hears something he doesn’t like ) for relationship advice, and no he did not listen to Michael about ‘taking it slow’ and along with ‘don’t say I love you to quick’, because Trevor definitely most likely said those words ‘I love you’ when he meets you because he is SO IN LOVE with you it surpasses everything practically, he’s to dumb for relationship rules.
୨୧ ᵎᵎ ﹐﹒⟡﹒
🩸  ⸺  it’s quite obvious that he’s got an emotional attachment to you. You know that erotic Calendar and those also erotic photos of women in their bikinis that are on the walls of his trailer?? Yeah, he took it down and just replaced it with photos of you.( one of the advices that he listened to from Michael )
୨୧ ᵎᵎ ﹐﹒⟡﹒
🩸  ⸺  he loves like a puppy, constantly all over you as he’s practically and literally your number one hype man, complimenting you and being all desperate for you and crushing on you even though you and him are both dating. He worships you to the point where its concerning.
୨୧ ᵎᵎ ﹐﹒⟡﹒
🩸  ⸺  the type of guy to gift you rocks he thinks you’d find cool that he would find on sandy shores whenever he’s spending time away from you ( he hopes you find the rocks he gifts you cool; otherwise he’d be disappointed in himself )
୨୧ ᵎᵎ ﹐﹒⟡﹒
🩸  ⸺  literally the dream boyfriend. I don’t CAREEEEEEE he’s the dream boyfriend.

eughhh sleepiness is taking over must write about inky boy. ink sans is by @/comyet
i think upon reanalyzing some asks and the FAQ i have begun to understand how inks err emotions work a little better. a bunch of this is me kinda theorizing sooo yeah. it's not as uhh clear as my other rants are
His emotions aren't really "fake". at least my definition of fake. He still feels.
Instead, their main struggle is to balance and understand his emotions. Like in this ask:
So, he can definitely have quote on quote "normal relationships" with other people
One day you may ask him and he'll be like yeah i care about them alot and the next he doesn't feel very attached at all. As i interpreted "not making sense" as to not understanding why or how he even cares for these people. It seems really dependent on his internal emotional balance. The pretending comes in to play where he may exaggerate or lie about his emotions. Perhaps because he himself wants to have these attachments. Or because he wants to spare others feelings.
more yappage under the cut
According to his FAQ, he realizes his soullessness is an advantage (and theres not any realistic/non morally dubious means to obtain one) and wouldn't change that. However, i don't believe he is completely content with some of the drawbacks. He feels the need to hide his soullessness, as indicated in his design notes. But it "shows through". He feels the need to "pretend to have a soul" -from his backstory comic. This may be because he feels insecure in some way. believing his own emotions are less than others. Or his feelings are invalid or fake because he doesn't have a soul. Or at the very least not as real as others. Because he doesn't feel emotions the way others do, it must be wrong. Because hes chaotic neutral, i don't think these are things others contributed to his line of thought. Rather, something hes internalized himself. not that he would ever tell anyone that.
He may also hide this fact not the freak people out. Man does enjoy a bit of mischief, but it probably be kinda hard to work with other people if you have a large chance they may be scared of/don't trust you. I also think he doesn't actually want to like...petrify people. Which i would imagine many monsters would struggle, if they knew. given what people may assume of him. Or at least that's what he thinks ig shsksh.
Given he fears loneliness i think both of these reasons may contribute. He doesn't want people to abandon him. abandonment issues caused by trauma he can't remember.
But he can definitely feel extremes as well. being "overexcited" so much so he forgets consequences. He vomits up ink when shocked or overly passionate. I didn't expand on this as much because i feel like others have explained better than i ever could.
as his FAQ indicates his emotions can be separate from his morality. so its not necessarily contradictory for him to have these big emotions but still have uhh ig a more neutral way of looking at things. ig
btw this post was inspired from this analysis!! i tried to add my own spin on my commentary

Hello hi friend (@knight-says-nanana) recently made this post referencing our conversation on Jervis Tetch having Wonderland nicknames for everyone but with actual Meaning to it, and I am here to share my List of them
Edward Nygma/Riddler - Dormouse
Not only could he physically resemble a dormouse (Shorter, they tend to have reddish brown/Orange coats I think?), but again, it's more about the sleepiness. The Dormouse is depicted as asleep/Always falling asleep, and only really waking up to correct Alice. Jervis's likely first or longest first meeting with Ed would be in Arkham. Arkham, where his cell has been shown to have "Keep sedated" on it
Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow - March Hare
A hare matches Jon's aesthetic. Long gangly creepy looking bunny. Typically depicted with straw on his head. It's cute if Jervis refers to him as "My dear Hare". March Hare and Hatter are friends!
And also the Hare is routinely depicted as nerve wrecked or delirious, and in adaptations, often dies or suffers
Harley Quinn - Queen of Hearts
The red and black look, the cards aesthetic already there. Plus, Queen of Hearts is childish, bad tempered, quick to overreact, very feared character (Also has a mallet). And also rarely Actually executed people. This one does play on the negatives more, due to the fact she's an antagonist (More obstacle for Alice to clear) But the queen Does have some better traits
Selina Kyle/Catwoman - Cheshire Cat
Obvious, only major cat themed rogue, but Does have deeper implications. Cat dissapears often and without a trace, seemingly or literally invisible, can go places most do not dare to. And also friendly with both the protagonist and antagonist characters. Inherently chaotic neutral force. It does what it wants for it's own entertainment. It may like Alice and act sorta as a guide sometimes, but that in no way means it sticks on her side
Hugo Strange - Gryphon
Somewhat overbearing, dismissive of the obsession and Sorrow of other characters, says they have no fact. Orders around Mock Turtle. This may not fit the greatest, but I like it
The Batman - The Jabberwock
Some unknown and all around feared cryptid? Yeah makes sense
Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin - Dodo
Flightless bird depicted with a cane. Odd, but good natured. Mostly. Does try to burn down a house as a solution to Alice being stuck in it. Organizes the Caucus races. The Dodo character/Races are meant as a critic on systems that lack clarity and decisiveness, who's actions are ultimately unhelpful or pointless
Now there are a couple I'm not entirely sure about yet. It's actually suprisingly hard to make everything fit well
Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze - White Rabbit
Because. He. Y'know. Is running out of time? I do like this one, mostly cause it's a lil funny to me. And also Freeze is mostly only an antagonist to work for his goal, the Rabbit is only "antagonist" Because he has to work for the Queen
Basil Karlo/Clayface - Mock Turtle
Melancholic, sad that it's no longer a real turtle/Just a turtle
Pamela Isely/Poison Ivy - King of Hearts/The Flowers
She is So hard to pin down. I could say Kimg of Hearts to match Harley (Moderate, calm, the one that pardons the subjects, calms the queen, later revealed just as juvenile and willing to execute), or, I could go with the flowers to match her vibe. I really do not know
Waylon Jones/Killer Croc - Jabberwocky/Duchess
Kinda hate both of these for him. Jabberwock because. The obvious. Duchess kinda due to starting off nice to the queen, then transitioning to friendly and respectful with Alice. Major temper (Nervously agressive) but not inherently bad even though she starts/Is Queen aligned?
Harvey Dent/Two Face - Tweedle Dee & Dum/The Walrus & The Carpenter
Tweedle Dee and Dum seem like the obvious answer but I kinda hate it so much. It doesn't feel like it fits and kinda feels insulting. Nothing Truly fits Two Face. Walrus and Carpenter is the closest I got. Walrus (Two Face?) The leader, conniving moocher, con man, yet hopeful of the future. Carpenter (Harvey?), believes getting an honest job will be better, still goes along with the plan, acts before he thinks, quick to anger
Joker - King of Hearts/Knave of Hearts
King to match Harley but also I dislike most adaptations so mm. Knave because he's a coward/j

Monkey D. Luffy - Dancer
Tumblr media
Warning : none
Genre : fluff
Synopsis : "Opla Luffy x male reader who’s a dancer and incorporates it into his fighting style, reader is a bit taller than luffy and also wears rlly flowwy/ loose clothes" - anon
Reader : gender neutral (you/yours)
Tumblr media
Luffy found you cool as soon as he saw you fighting. Not that he didn't find you cool before. But that really escalated when he saw you in action.
He couldn't help but jump in place, his body moving as if to imitate you. He's absolutely mesmerized by your movements and how your clothes move.
Luffy absolutely loves what you're wearing and often steals them. He likes loose clothing too. Though he prefers when you're the one wearing it because you look much cooler.
It looks like waves as you dance. Like you're the wind playing with the seas, throwing the unwanted pirates or marines with a powerful blow.
He really can't stop looking at you. You're so majestic. You're moving so gracefully. Makes him wonder if he can move like that too. He might even try to imitate you as he fights, which looks quite different than you.
While your dancing is more elegant and controlled, his is like he's constantly exploding, like he cannot contain himself. Even if it's ballet.
He likes dancing with you, without the fighting. Your dancing styles are not complimentary at all. One always radiates joy and happiness, pure chaos and deranged while the other expresses various emotions with ease and elegance.
Luffy truly believes he's good at dancing and will want to teach you how to dance like him. In a sense he can, it teaches you to let go of the rules you've learnt and followed, to dance more freely and heartfully.
He likes to sing too, so he'll definitely sing random stuff for you to dance on it. Even if it's dumb songs, which happens quite often.
It's not a secret he finds you and your technique really cool and he's really proud of you for finding yourself. He can't wait to see you evolve through the adventures you're gonna live.
He wonders what music you have in mind when you fight. He definitely wants to listen to it too.
He's really confused if it's a peaceful and calm song. How do you get the funny silly vibes from it ? How do you get your cells to vibrate to such a calm song ? But… whatever floats your boat, he supposes !? Hah ! You're such a weirdo sometimes !
If you don't listen to music at all when fighting he's a bit perplexed and even more confused by you. How can you move like that without the sound of music ? You're doing a whole choreography out there and the only music in your ears is the sound of your enemies dropping on the ground ?
If you tell him that he'll stare at you before laughing. You're really really weird and funny ! That's why he likes you.
But if you do listen to an energetic song, he might hum it from time to time as he's reminiscing about your fights. He's not the kind of person to have songs in his head when he fights, he's fully focused on his opponents and how to win. The only time his chaotic thinking is somewhat tuned down.
He doesn't mind that you're taller than him. In fact, you're just tall enough for him to stand right under your chin, fitting together like pieces of a puzzle.
He likes that. He doesn't care that he has to look up to look you in the eyes, a lot of people are taller than him, that's just how it is.
You can't tease him about his size because he'll just… stretch his neck to make himself taller. It's quite scary to watch him pull his head upward, straining a bit as he does so before it finally stretches naturally, his neck the length of his arm.

ATEEZ as gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss meme
I was a bit struggling on where to put san 🤔 but I hope it makes sense, though...
Gaslight: yunho
There is a joke about his loyalty to mingi and how he is always testing it lol
Gatekeep: Mingi, Hongjoong
Mingi gatekeep yunho cuz he ain't got no friends lmao
Honjoong is trying to gatekeep fans to only ateez. As he said, "don't look at other oppas" so we look at the unnies and noonas, hehe 😜
Girlboss: seonghwa, San
Seonghwa is motherrrrr-
San is definitely a girlboss on stage cuz he always dominates with his amazing stage presence~
Gaslight & gatekeep: wooyoung
Wooyoung is telling fans to play hard to get and hide the fact that they are performing at waterbomb LA 🤣
Gatekeep & girlboss: yeosang
Yeosang will definitely be there for the tea 😌 and is a savage like calling out the members for thier sexy clothing on stage
Gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss: Jongho
My man is truly a chaotic neutral cuz he definitely can do anything and everything if he wants to. . .for himself (he is so real for that)

Sans marries Toriel and is technically Flowey's dad is one thing, I'm more fascinated in the potential of a neutral ending where Sans marries Toriel and is technically king
nonono you jest, but in a scenario where sans would be interested in a romantic relationship with toriel, i actually think toriel returning to her role as queen would make him take a step back.
i always got this sense of... distance? when hearing him talk about her in the phonecalls for that ending (at least, compared to the way he talks about her post pacifist, in the Q&A and alarm clock dialogue).
and while I'm sure they remain friends and that the political structure in ut is nowhere as big of a deal as the one we have in real life, well... she's still the queen, y'know? like you said, getting romantically involved gets you Involved involved. and sans is the kinda guy who likes to stay low.
on the other hand, i don't think toriel wants to rule the underground again. she feels a duty towards it, and she definitely handles it better than asgore (administratively, but also emotionally, considering she successfully overturns the "all humans must be killed" rule, so it wouldn't be as much of a burden on her shoulders), but i still think her actual desire to rule died, just as asgore's did, along with their children.
and the reason i have a visceral HATE when people treat toriel like sans' mother figure is because sans is the first genuine connection she makes with another person in hundreds, maybe thousands of years, where she is at eye level with them. she's spent god knows how long in self imposed isolation, and the RUINs monsters are still too intimidated by her to be her friends. sans' friendship with her as equals was so crucial in her first true steps to recovery.
so to finally end her exile, return to the outside world, pick up her crown again (which she doesn't truly want, but she will bear it for the greater good) but hey, amidst all this chaotic change at least she can finally meet her mysterious friend face to face...
only for him to put that distance between them himself. step back, tilt the scales, force her up that higher spot she thought she'd stepped down from the first time he said "knock knock"...
well. i just think it would be a phenomenal source of conflict for an angst fic set in this ending :]

who in skz has the most playful energy or the easiest to connect to in order and what is something u think each member needs to work more on like in shadow work?
For the first is rank it like this:
Chan - both playful and easiest to connect to
I.N - easy to connect to, not necessarily playful but very lighthearted and easy energy
(Those were the only one's which energy feels playful)
Felix - not necessarily easy to connect to since his energy and views(?) are very simple and 1 dimensional so often theres not much to pick on, or theres SOOO much at once he doesn't even know what to answer and often doesn't really answer the question im asking but something else, i think just because he isn't too sure of his own thoughts and feelings himself. Though there aren't any barriers when trying to access or reach him. Not necessarily playful either but his energy is very simple and often positive and just..idk he seems content and neutral, but positively leaning.
Seungmin - his energy isn't playful at all, but he's very easy to connect to. Like really easy, he knows what he wants, what he likes, he understands himself and his surroundings and situations very well and has a good head on his shoulders. Gives just enough energy & information for me to work with and is very clear and to the point.
Han - he's pretty neutral. Not playful. Sometimes kinda dark and confused energy. Sometimes not. Connecting to his energy isn't too hard, but also not too easy. And reading it is sometimes also a bit challenging...actually lots of the time its challenging i think out if all the members he's the most difficult for me to read for. I just can't read his energy very well because its really chaotic and unsure and it feels like he's trying to lie or something idk how to explain it, but deciphering his messages is kinda hard. Like he has something to hide.
Lee Know - he's almost the same but a tad bit easier going. Not playful, but has a lighter energy. Connecting to it is not hard but he doesn't gush it all out either. Its just very balanced. When it comes to deciphering his messages tho its a bit more difficult as it also feels like im not reading their authentic energy but something thats been thought about and rehearsed and i always feel like theres more and im like seeing some messages and hints etc, but they aren't coherent and don't connect to each other. Just like as with han's...
Hyunjin - has a gloomy energy. Tbh i don't really like reading on him as he just feels really heavy, sticky and unpleasant to be around (energetically). If i could describe his energy with one word i would use "limbo" or "labyrinth". Very dark, gloomy, damp, unsure, hopeless etc. And its not triggered by anything specific thats just his natural inner vibe. He's very watery - makes sense after all he's a pisces and has (if im not mistaken) watery, dark nakshatras as well. His energy is easy to connect to and read tho. So thats that. He's pretty open and doesn't try to hide anything he just openly presents his energy, sometimes it even feels like he does it so openly in hopes he gets help or guidance from somewhere to help him decide or make up his mind. If i had to chose a card to describe him it would be 2 of Swords.
Changbin - the darkest, deepest member with the thickest walls and most hesitation. Once he opens up tho he starts gushing out and his energy is EXTREMELY detailed and if i "let him" he would ramble on and on and jump to many different topics that are somehow connected together and if his reading were a visual thing it would look like a tree or mindmap. His readings would be PAGES long, as he has so so mich to say. He has an opinion on everything, explanation for everything, comments about everything and he truly loves to talk, he has a very active mind and a very deep heart and he just really lacks space in his life where he could express all that. I fear the people around him, as loving as they are, just aren't as deep as him so he can never have a truly satisfying conversation up to his standards, and music is or was his only outlet but he faces LOTS of restrictions from the company which kind of takes his only outlet away, forcing him to keep to himself and bottle it all up. And with the others, most of the time i have to write it all "by myself", which is not the case for changbin. Most of the time, when reading for him i feel like he talks through me, like im genuinely channeling his energy at the moment and one thing comes after the other and i can't type fast enough to express everything thats comming to mind when connected to him. Sooo yeah idk how to label him exactly. Very, very hard to connect to - takes always the longest to shuffle his cards, and the to sit with them and get familiar and slooooowly and gently enter his energy - but once im in its overwhelming (in the best way). Goofy and playful not really - but very friendly. As dark and deep and even sometimes scary, his energy feels like, he's really friendly and feels very safe being in his energy. I love reading most for him💗 then for I.n and then probably for chan. When reading for chan tbh it feels like im talking with one of the girlies and we're just giggling and spilling some tea😂
About your question with the shadow work, Im not too sure yet if i should do individual readings or group readings. So I'll just add it to the masterlist for now and think about it a bit. Maybe I'll do individual readings for the members that really need it (like chan, hyunjin, changbin etc) and for the rest ill do a group reading that doesnt go as much into detail.

I am super nervous for the next season of 911. Like I don’t dislike Tommy but I also don’t like super love him either and I. Am. Nervous.
I agree with you about Tommy - I'm relatively neutral about him as a character.
I also don't tend to be someone who makes predictions much at all - I'd rather just be surprised.
I will say though, the fact that there has been little said about Tommy and little promotion of the Buck x Tommy pairing (it has been mentioned, but not as much as Buck and Eddie's friendship/relationship), makes me lean toward the belief that Buck x Tommy is likely short term.
But, as a Buddie shipper I am also aware that I could just be seeing what I'd really like to see in the promotional material we've had so far... shrugs.
I am excited about a lot of other things for this season though!
Seeing how the 118 manages with Gerrard (don't want him around for long, but interested to see how this affects all the characters and how they, hopefully, lean on each other to cope)
I want to see calls again! And the 118 working as a team during emergencies.
I want to see silly chatter in the fire engine and family meals!
I want ridiculous calls, and weird calls, and humorous calls!
They've been open about Eddie going on journey to discover himself, who he is without Chris, just as 'Eddie,' and I am so here for that!
I want some sweet moments between Hen and Karen and Chim and Maddie as the navigate the situation with Mara
I am honestly kind of thrilled with the whole 'bee-nado' situation because it is so implausible that it makes me giggle, but the fall out has so much potential for drama and action
Bobby as a technical advisor on 'Hot Shots' has so much comedy potential and I cannot wait to see it
That's a lot to be excited about I think!
One of the things I love about 911, is that yes, it brought me Buddie and I love them and I hope we are fortunate enough to get to watch them become canon. And that could possible happen this season.
But I don't love the show just because of Buddie.
I love all of the 118.
I love Chim and his devotion to Maddie and the power of their story, a story about finding a new love, building a better, stronger relationship with someone you truly love and trust and you loves and trusts and respect you back.
I love Hen and Karen and the endless pool of love they have for Denny, Mara and all the foster children who have come into their lives over the seasons. Those ladies have so much smarts between them they just knocked me over with it sometimes.
I love Bobby and his journey of redemption. The difficult path he has been walking to feel he actually deserves happiness in his life. I adore how he and Athena fell in love, and yet their past loves have never been dismissed, ignored or demeaned for their current love story.
(I will also miss the Bobby and Michael shenanigans -both the healthiest and yet most chaotic relationship between the 'new' husband and the ex-husband I have ever had the pleasure to witness).
Even though I don't always agree with Athena's choices, I would want her on my side, fighting beside be because that woman is fierce and she does not back down from a fight.
I love Eddie and his giant heart that he is always simultaneously giving freely to everyone and yet hiding away at every turn. As a fellow parent, I admire his amazing parenting skills and his trust and respect he has built with Christopher. If they aren't able to build back that trust in their relationship this season it will truly break my heart.
I left Buck for last, because he is my favourite. He has such a big heart and hardly any sense of self worth and all of that is wrapped up in this infectious energy that I simply cannot resist. I cannot wait to hear more Buck facts, his childlike energy about topics he's passionate about make me smile so much. I want the world for that man. (I also really enjoy him battered and bruised and covered in blood, but that says more about me that about Buck...)
In conclusion, I love 911!
Yes, I watch partly for Buddie, but I love the show as a whole. And I think we have a lot to look forward to, especially with a full season that, hopefully, won't feel rushed.

Oh I absolutely love your answer to my latest ask, thank you!!! My fear was that by what Ewan said he perhaps meant that Aemond would discard love in favor of duty, if that makes sense. That he would perhaps deny himself to love someone because he thinks it's unimportant. But I do like the thought that when he loves someone, it would be equally important for him. It all boils down to the fact that I'd really like to believe Aemond would love someone back if they loved him just as much!
I've had quite a few people ask me about that - if Aemond would walk away from someone he loves because of his duties. I still think the answer is no, though there are others who disagree. I honestly might be projecting a bit, so take my words with discretion lol
When it comes to this question, I think of my personal view on love vs relationships. My last one ended because my ambitions led to where I am now in my career whereas my ex had no ambitions at all which led him to feel insecure. For my longest (and worst) relationship, he wanted me to prioritize him over my friends which was a hard no, and I... May or may not have laughed in his face.
In the ideal scenario, a partner should encourage you to achieve your goals and never force you to make them a priority because when you love someone... Well, naturally they should be. No need for the ultimatum ever and that boils down to how confident your partner is. At the same time, a relationship is dynamic and out of your control, but your ambition is something only you have. Having a partner who not only has their own goals but also makes you feel strong enough to fight for your own is a wonderful thing! That's what he needs, and he'd love her all the more for it.
I mean, would that mean this ideal woman is also a Chaotic Neutral who believes the throne is Aemond's birthright?? Probably. I imagine she'd be calmer than him and can logic him out of his embarrassment and fear (which leads him to making bad decisions). He's "level-headed" because he feels he needs to be, so if his partner is truly neutral or is emotional about different things (maybe things he can help with), it'd be the perfect balance between two power-hungry people whose goals never coincide.
Love and ambition can exist at the same degree of importance as long as both people view them in different worlds, and choose to meet their partner somewhere in the middle. I choose to use my free time for you, I choose to speak to you about my problems. You have your life, I have mine. Duty is important because even if you leave me, it'll still be there, but that doesn't mean you're not important to me. It all needs to be mutual.
Tumblr media
Idk how this became another thesis on my views on healthy relationships, but there you go LOL

Hey could we get some general headcanons about Splendor, Candy Pop and Jason? ^^
Ah yes, the best boys <333
Thank you for requesting!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Splendor
He, along with the rest of his species, dont really have genders, so most of the time he just rolls with whatever people refer to him as. In his mansion, he's actually known as "Mother" due to his motherly nature with his children
He's also aroace (though that wouldnt apply to x reader fics)
He's the second youngest of all his brothers
He generally tries to look like a clown (hence why he has a smiling face complete with eyes and his brothers don't) that way children don't feel scared around him
He's truly great with everyone, not just kids
He has his own mansion, but instead of angsty emos, his house is more of a safe space for all of the unwanted or unhappy children
9'6" so very tall
I imagine his voice to sound like a mixture of Sundrop and Cheese sandwich
He smells familiar, no specific scent, just something you know you've smelt before but can't quite place your finger on
He visits Slender at his mansion the most, usually bringing candies for everyone
He's become known as "That guy with the face and full snickers bars" around Slender's mansion
He doesnt tend to go into the mortal realm too often, but when he does it's when he senses a troubled soul in need of immediate help
And when he does have those senses, he usually brings them back into his mansion in the underworld, giving them all the hospitality and comfort they could ever desire
Splendorman is an oddball, that's for sure
I also like to imagine he says weird things sometimes, just to throw people off guard
"Beware the men with the tilted hats....they arent worth it"
He likes rick and morty, but doesn't actually watch the show he just likes the colors
His favorite meal is octopus tentacles
Candypop
Bro doesn't know what they are
They don't really have a gender either, so most of the time he just identifies as male or non binary
He's also into men (again, doesnt necessarily apply to x reader)
They usually aren't seen a lot around slender's mansion, mostly because they, Lj and Jason tend to hang out in the uppermost level of the mansion and giggle around like the chaotic neutrals they are <3
They absolutely order starbucks, bribe another creep to bring it up to them, and then gossip with each other about all of the other creeps
Most of the time they spare their dear friend who brought up their orders though. They arent horrible, now
They smell like literal musk and jolly ranchers 💀
It's very upsetting
He likes to just bang his hammer mallet thingy against the wall for absolutely no reason
They're like 8'11"
He gets a kick out of seeing people jump from the BOOM
Their face doesn't actually look like how it is seen in pictures, most of that is actually makeup
The only natural things is their skin tone, their sharp teeth, and their hair and eye colors
They have a very deep chainsmokers voice
Sorry, I don't make the rules
They unironically listen to one direction and 5 seconds of summer on full blast
"BABY YOU LIGHT UP MY WORLD LIKE NOBODY ELSE"
Lj definitely had to bang on their wall a few times with his fist just to get them to shut up a few times
The only times he is seen around the mansion, hes normally sliding around the hardfloor on socks, avoiding everyone as best they can because lord knows if someone actually spoke to them theyd just evaporate, never to be seen again
Jason the Toymaker
When he first manifested in this world, he was mostly just trying to look human so he could get away with inhabiting this place
So he identifies as "male" and has traditional male anatomy
He is interested in anyone romantically speaking, but does have a fem lean (doesn't apply to x reader)
He has the dantiest little hands <3
6'2", so he's definetly not the tallest creep. but he's up there
His fingers are long and slender, as well as long nails that help him with sewing
His skin is really smooth
And his hair is really well taken care of
He just has the best self care in general
He's always working on some project, wether that be making a doll, or sewing a fancy tea party dress for sally that she absolutely needed, his hands are always busy
He can get frustrated very easily though, and thats kind of a bummer
He doesn't have anger issues necessarily, but he's very sensetive and emotional, so anything said to him might tick him off into a stream of tears or a flurry of rage
He's normally one of the only ones to actually clean around the house
His hair color depends on his mood
For example, if hes really upset, his hair is black, his true form is white, and he actually uses a spell to keep his hair red the rest of the time
He's that one friend
You know the one
The nice one?
Yeah that's him
He smells like old fabrics and dust
But sometimes if he's feeling ✨ spicy ✨ he'll wear some sweet smelling perfume
Never cologne, he doesnt like how harsh it smells
He likes to watch cartoons with sally, and sing with sally
He's simply wonderful <3
Groomsmen
Iruka Umino finds himself distracted as he works at the mission desk.
Ever since Naruto has come back to the village, things have been chaotic. Iruka knows that he should be worried about the Akatsuki and about the village- and sure, he is- but there’s one more thing that’s been bothering him…
His friend, Kakashi, has been hanging around someone new; a pale man around Iruka’s height with light brown hair, a head guard, and captivating charcoal eyes. Iruka has never seen him before despite knowing the faces of everyone in the village, but he wears Konoha’s leaf symbol on the forehead of his guard, so Iruka knows he’s one of their shinobi.
Iruka sorts through the papers in front of him with the mysterious man on his mind. Shinobi continue to approach, turning in their mission reports and allowing Iruka to sort them away. It’s half past noon and Iruka is exhausted, but there’s so much work to be done and so few people, even years after the Konoha Crush, that he has to fill in that gap where he can. He’s so out of it that he doesn’t even notice when Kakashi approaches the desk until he hears the older man’s voice.
“Iruka, I have something important to tell you,” Kakashi speaks.
“What is it?”
“Guy and I are engaged,” Kakashi says, holding his left hand out. Over the glove that he normally wears, on his left hand, there’s a ring; an obnoxious silver creation with a giant, expensive looking red stone in the middle. It’s not very Kakashi, but it is very Guy. “It’s official, rings and all.”
“Aw, really? That’s so sweet! Congratulations,” Iruka beams, his eyes flickering between Kakashi’s neutral face and the ring he’s wearing.
It’s unlike Kakashi to make a big deal about an engagement or a wedding, let alone publicly go flaunting an engagement ring around. The uncharacteristic behavior from his friend makes the alarm bells in Iruka’s head ring, but then he remembers that it is like Guy to get excited about this sort of thing, and that Kakashi is probably just trying to match his excitement to make him happy.
“Nice, isn’t it?” Kakashi asks, gesturing to the huge rock on his finger. “Guy went on a long trip to get this stone from Suna. Apparently, Gaara was able to pull some strings and get it for him.”
“That sounds like Guy,” Iruka smiles, then looks back up at Kakashi. “It’s beautiful. I’m truly happy for you.”
“Thank you, but I didn’t come here just to tell you about my engagement.”
Iruka tilts his head. “Oh?”
“You and I have been friends for a long time now, and comrades for even longer. I wanted to ask if you’d consider being one of my groomsmen.”
“Of course!” Iruka excitedly answers. “I’m honored that you’d even ask.” “Great! I’ll see you later, then,” Kakashi offers a nod and turns to leave, but before he can do so, Iruka speaks up.
“Kakashi, wait, I wanted to ask you about something.”
“What is it?”
“Your um, your friend,” Iruka forces the words out. He’s sure that Kakashi will be able to figure out his intentions based on his tone, but he figures it’ll be fine. It’s not like Kakashi is one to go around spreading peoples’ secrets, right? In theory, his crush should stay protected until he’s ready to say something about it- if he ever gets to know this guy well enough that he wants to say something about it. “The one with the brown hair, and the cat-like eyes. Who is he?”
Kakashi pauses for a moment, seemingly confused until realization flashes over his face.
“Oh, you mean Yamato? What about him?”
“Well, he showed up very suddenly,” Iruka mutters, fiddling with his fingers. “Did he transfer from another village?”
“No, no, nothing like that. He’s from here. He just wasn’t implemented into the regular shinobi forces until recently,” Kakashi says.
“Was he Anbu?”
“Yes, and he was out of the village for a few years on a long-term mission, so it makes sense that you wouldn’t have seen him,” Kakashi explains, pauses, then asks with a furrowed brow- “What’s it to you? Did you interact with him recently? I know he can be a little weird, but I swear he’s a good guy. He really does mean well.”
“I’ve actually never talked to him, it’s just…” Iruka trails off, twiddling his thumbs. Kakashi is his friend, and has been since Naruto was young, so he can’t lie to him. “Well…”
“Oh, I see,” Kakashi laughs. “You like him, right?”
“No! No, it’s not like that,” Iruka tries to lie- and fails immediately. “Okay, well, maybe it is like that… But only a little bit!”
“Well, Iruka, I had some other news I wanted to tell you. Yamato is my best man, and since you’ve agreed to be one of my groomsmen as well, I’m sure that would give you the perfect opportunity to get closer to Yamato during the process of the wedding planning.”
“...Are you serious?” Iruka asks with a heavy blush.
“Why would I joke about something as important as love?”
“Kakashi- it’s just a crush!” Iruka argues.
“Fine, fine,” Kakashi straightens his back and offers a dismissive wave before heading for the door. When he gets to the doorway, he turns around and calls back to Iruka to say- “We’re going suit shopping next Friday. Meet us at my apartment at four!”
“Okay… See you then,” Iruka
~
When Iruka arrives at the door of Kakashi’s apartment at four the following Friday, he’s surprised to find that the only one there is… Yamato. He climbs the stairs and catches sight of one pair of feet- and that’s it. The higher he gets up the stairs, the more he can make out. Up close, Yamato is bigger than Iruka thought he was; muscular and broad and strong despite his average height and a posture that makes him seem smaller than he really is. He’s wearing a simple outfit, just his head guard with the standard blue long sleeve undershirt and pants that come with Konoha’s Jonin uniform.
“Oh, hey,” Iruka greets once he reaches the top of the stairs where Kakashi’s apartment is. Yamato is leaning back against the door, cat-like eyes now trained on Iruka. “Where’s everyone else?”
“Hm? I thought it was just supposed to be the two of us,” Yamato says, standing up straight and crossing his arms over his chest. Iruka can’t help but notice the way the muscles shift and ripple underneath the thin fabric of the man’s thin shirt… They’re fucking huge. Briefly, he considers what those arms would feel like around his waist- what those big, strong hands would feel like pinning his wrists to a bed. But then, he gets a grasp on his dirty mind and manages to compose himself enough to act interested in what Yamato says next. “You’re Iruka, right?”
‘Oh… They set us up on purpose,’ Iruka thinks. ‘Those two…’
“Yes, I’m Iruka. It’s nice to meet you,” Iruka offers a hand, which Yamato takes. When they shake hands, Iruka can’t help but notice just how strong Yamato’s grip is. “I must’ve misunderstood Kakashi’s instructions. I thought we were all going to get fitted for suits today?”
“Yeah. Kakashi already picked the suits, Guy picked the colors, but I guess they’re busy today dealing with the floral arrangements so they wanted me to drop off the money and pick the suits up, then take them to the tailors’,” Yamato explains. His voice is deep, smooth, and calm, and Iruka wants to hear more of it. When Yamato looks him in the eye, he feels his face turning even more red than it already was.  “We have everyone’s measurements on hand except for yours.”
“Then why am I here? He could’ve just asked for my measurements when we talked the other day.”
“Kakashi let me know that you would be coming because he uh… Doesn’t fully trust me to handle the interaction with the clothing salesmen and the tailors- that and he needs you to give the tailors your measurements.”
“You were in Anbu before being appointed temporary captain of Team Kakashi, weren’t you?”
“Yes,” Yamato answers with a nod.
“Then, you must not have a lot of experience with the shopkeepers here. I totally understand why Kakashi asked me to come,” Iruka tries to be reassuring as he can. Yamato seems nervous, and though he’s good enough at interacting with Iruka, dealing with some of the more difficult salesmen in Konoha can be difficult- especially if you don’t have experience with them, and especially if it’s for a special occasion like a birthday, wedding, or holiday. “Don’t worry about it. I don’t mind helping.”
“Thank you. Do you know how to get there? Kakashi didn’t tell me where the shop was, just to meet everyone at his apartment and that we’d head there together.”
“Don’t worry, I know where it is. I’ll show you the way.”
With that, the two start to walk together, falling into a somewhat awkward silence… Or, awkward for Iruka. Yamato seems comfortable as he walks with his hands in his pockets and admires the birds that fly over them and the clouds in the sky. Meanwhile, Iruka’s heart is pounding
“Yamato, have you made a lot of friends here since you were discharged from Anbu?” Iruka questions, desperate to start some sort of conversation instead of just walking in silence. He knows that there’s strict rules for members of Anbu- they aren’t allowed to have close family, they aren’t allowed to be seen in public without their full uniforms on, they aren’t allowed to travel freely, they have to live in designated Anbu-only apartment complexes, and they aren’t allowed to go on any outings that are deemed ‘unnecessary’. It’s a strict subsect of shinobi that doesn’t allow for much socialization. “I imagine that reintegrating must be somewhat difficult.”
“Hm? Friends…” Yamato hums. “Well, not really. I’ve really bonded with Team Kakashi as well as Guy, but I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had the chance to talk with too many others.”
“Then, why don’t we go get some food together after we’re done?” Iruka offers.
“Oh,” Yamato seemingly perks up at that as they arrive at the suit shop. “Really?”
“Yeah! I mean, only if you want to,” Iruka answers. “Do you like Ichiraku?”
“Yes.”
~
Admittedly, Yamato doesn’t have a ton of experience with romance, so when he starts to notice Iruka around the village, he doesn’t think much of it. The guy is interesting- a talented academy teacher who has so much optimism and love for the children he teaches despite all of the terrible things he’s sure to have heard and seen through his life as a shinobi. Of course, someone like Yamato would be fascinated, especially after hearing all of the amazing things Naruto has said about the man.
He does, however, start to think about it when he notices that the feelings are a little… Different. Admiration is something he’s familiar with thanks to his friendship with Kakashi, but when he sees Iruka, his heart beats harder against his chest, his face feels hot, and his head spins. Better yet, he thinks things that he knows are beyond inappropriate to think about someone who he doesn’t even talk to.
When he mentions the new problem to Kakashi, venting about how his stomach feels funny when he sees the cute long-haired academy teacher, the older man laughs at him and tells him he’s ‘down bad’.
Whatever that means.
So, the first time he meets Iruka is a bit of a mind fuck. The man is far too nice and attractive. Surely, there’s something wrong with him, right? Guy is overenthusiastic and obnoxious in nature, Kakashi has attachment issues and PTSD that even the most qualified therapist wouldn’t be able to unpack, Naruto is stubborn and rash, Sai is socially unaware and rude to the point that it’s painful to watch, Sakura is violent and temperamental, and Yamato himself is most of those things combined, but what about Iruka?
Yamato has met Iruka and interacted with him on multiple occasions now. When they went to go get the suits for the wedding and get them tailored, the man was incredibly friendly, sociable, and tactful regardless of the fact that he’d apparently been led to believe he was supposed to meet Kakashi and the rest of the groomsmen at Kakashi’s apartment for the task rather than just Yamato. Hell, the man even indirectly offered to be his friend and took him for ramen.
At first, Yamato assumed it might’ve been out of pity, but now…
“How many tiers do you think we should do?” Iruka asks as the two of them sit at a table together in the local barbecue shop. The table grill to their left is piping hot. Rather than letting Yamato cook his own food, Iruka absentmindedly cooks both of their meat on the grill and divides it between the two plates. It makes Yamato slightly uncomfortable, as he’s not used to being taken care of like this, but he’s also too flattered to object. Iruka uses his spare hand to sketch a design for the wedding cake, which they’ve now (suspiciously enough) been put in charge of handling as well. “I’m not sure how many guests are even going to be there…”
“I think they said it would be close to seventy five, just considering all of their friends, coworkers, Kakashi’s dogs, and Guy’s turtle,” Yamato says. “But obviously, their summons won’t be able to eat the cake, and two of those spots are reserved for their fathers’ name plates since they can’t attend in person. So, the cake only needs to feed a little over sixty.”
“Alright, why don’t we have them make a square three tier cake? That’ll be enough so that they can feed all the guests and still have the top tier to take home, if I’m doing my math right,” Iruka mutters while sketching out a picture of the cake he has in mind with measurements on the side.
“Why would they want extra?” Yamato questions.
“Lots of people like to have cake to take home from their wedding,” Iruka counters, as if it’s obvious, and maybe it is- but Yamato has never been to let alone planned a wedding before this. “Like, as a souvenir. Sometimes they freeze it and eat it on special anniversaries.”
Yamato raises an eyebrow.
“Isn’t that a little gross? I couldn’t imagine wanting to eat frozen cake,” He shudders.
“Me neither,” Iruka agrees. “But it’s surprisingly common, and I want to be considerate of them. I know Kakashi isn’t the type to want to save the cake, but Guy definitely is.”
“You think he’ll even eat it?” Yamato inquires between bites of food. “You know how strict he is about his diet.”
“I think he’d make an exception for such a special day, but you make a fair argument. Maybe we should have a sugar free tier?”
“On their wedding day? That’s a little insulting.”
“Hey! It was just an idea,” Iruka huffs, then pauses to grab a napkin. Without saying anything, he leans forward and wipes the corner of Yamato’s lip.
“Uh-”
“Oh, sorry!” Iruka apologizes. “You just- you had some sauce on your mouth, and I’m so used to doing it with the kids, and um-”
“Don’t worry about it,” Yamato laughs. “It’s fine, thank you. I’m just a little embarrassed.”
Iruka smiles back at Yamato and settles back into his chair.
Yamato has realized that Iruka really is just a kind, thoughtful person. Maybe he has a bit of a temper, but it’s nothing compared to Sakura or Lady Tsunade, so Yamato doesn’t bat an eye at it- even after Iruka chewed out the old man at the balloon shop who refused to put a balloon arch together for a ‘gay wedding’.
“I can take the design up to the cake shop, if you wanna go ahead and head home. I’m sure you’re busy,” Iruka offers.
“Sure. I’ll see you later, then.”
Yamato stands up, places money on the table to cover both of their tabs, and heads for Kakashi’s apartment.
When he arrives and knocks on the door, he’s unsurprised at the fact that Guy is the one who answers. Thankfully, the man is at least fully dressed.
“Yamato! Come in, come in,” Guy greets, rushing inside. Yamato follows after him and shuts the door. “Kakashi is in the kitchen!”
Guy disappears to who knows where, while Yamato walks into the kitchen to see Kakashi cooking his eight dogs their lunch. The pups all lay in a circle around the Jonin’s feet.
“Oh, Yamato,” Kakashi casually greets without even looking back at him. He stands at the stove and stirs the meat and vegetables he’s cooking. “What brings you here.”
“What are you two plotting?” Yamato demands.
“Hm? What ever do you mean?” Kakashi sarcastically hums and avoids Yamato’s eyes, because of course, the little shit knows exactly what Yamato means.
“You’ve sent me out with Iruka on multiple occasions now, and you’ve put us in charge of planning both of your bachelor parties even though Genma is Guy’s best man!”
“What about it? Genma has an important mission right around the time that the party takes place,” Kakashi shrugs. “I can’t realistically expect him to plan it with how busy he’s been, so we’re having Iruka fill in.”
“But Iruka is your groomsman! Shouldn’t you have one of Guy’s do it? I’m sure Ebisu would be great with this sort of thing!”
“Does it really matter?” Kakashi turns the stove off and divides the food in the pan onto eight plates, which he sets in a row on the floor. The dogs rush to eat as Kakashi continues to talk, now leaning back against the counter and putting his hands in the pockets of his- no, Guy’s- sweatpants. “And honestly, I think I’d rather have Ebisu plan my funeral than my wedding. Have you ever met that guy?”
“It wouldn’t matter if I didn’t know you were up to something,” Yamato grumbles. “So, what is it? Are you trying to set Iruka and I up just because you know about my feelings for him?”
“Honestly?” Kakashi starts, placing a warm hand on Yamato’s shoulder. Yamato blinks, taken aback by the affectionate gesture. “Yamato, I admire you greatly. You’re one of the few in the village who I truly consider to be my equal.”
“You… Really mean that?”
“Of course- and, as someone who admires you, I want you to be happy,” Kakashi explains, smiling under his mask. “So, I’m doing this to try to help you make a new friend. Friends are important, after all, right?”
“Right,” Yamato nods. “Thank you, Senpai.”
“Of course, Yamato.”
“I should be on my way, then.”
With that, Yamato leaves, placated- for now.
~
Once Yamato is out the door, Guy reappears in the kitchen and looks at Kakashi with a raised brow.
“Did he seriously buy that? Kakashi, my dearest rival, I never knew you had such a silver tongue!”
“Well,” Kakashi pauses, a gleam in his eye. “My tongue can do a lot that’d surprise you.”
“Is that so? We don’t have dinner with Anko and Ibiki for another few hours. Why don’t you show me?”
“Oh, I was hoping you’d say that.”
~
Days later, Yamato sits on the couch at Iruka’s apartment, shoulders stiff as he sits with a notepad in hand. Iruka is to his left, far too close for his comfort.
Actually, now that he thinks about it, everything regarding this situation is uncomfortable. For starters, he’s in Iruka’s apartment. That may not seem like much to the average person, but Yamato is uncomfortable with the idea of intimacy, and someone else’s home is the most intimate part of them. Really, it’s like staring into their soul, and Iruka’s apartment is an amazing representation of him; terribly drawn pictures children have made for him strung about the walls, water rings from cups of tea and coffee on Iruka’s coffee table, ungraded papers sitting in tall stacks all around the house, a big sweater that smells like cologne thrown over the back of the couch, the bowl of dog food left on the porch for the nearby strays.
The apartment is terribly, terribly Iruka, lit warmly and reeking of chamomile and vanilla in a way that makes Yamato’s face burn red and his stomach flip when he breathes too deeply.
And Iruka is still far, far too close. They’re at his home, and this is so casual, and his beautiful chocolate-hued hair is let down to cascade over his shoulders and frame his beautiful face.
Yamato doesn’t think he’s been so smitten in his life. And Iruka is just sitting there, casually, his world not turned upside down by Yamato’s mere presence.
“So, bachelor parties…” Yamato starts, clearing his throat. The sooner he gets this over with, the better. “You have any experience with this?”
“Uh, I’ve been to a couple, but I’ve been friends with Kakashi for a few years, and…” Iruka pauses, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. “Well…”
“What is it?”
“I don’t think he’s going to want the typical bachelor party.”
“What does the typical bachelor party consist of?”
“Strippers, drinking, drugs,” Iruka answers with a strangled sort of laugh. “The works.”
“I see… Yes, you’re right, then. That doesn’t seem like something Kakashi or Guy would enjoy,” Yamato leans forward, resting his elbows on the coffee table in front of him. Iruka’s knee brushes against his, and it takes everything in him not to jump. Iruka doesn’t move away or even apologize. Did he not notice? Does he not care? Or did he want them to touch? “It’s a joint party, isn’t it?”
“Yes. Did they discuss who’s covering the cost?”
“I am,” Yamato answers. “It’s my wedding gift to them.”
“Oh, wow. We should budget carefully, then.”
“Don’t worry about it. Anbu paid me enough that I can afford it.”
“Alright, then. Do you have any ideas?”
“There’s a hot spring between here and Kusa that does bridal showers and whatnot. They offer full suites with beautiful rooms and a great view, incredible catering, and full spa days,” Yamato thinks back on when he took Team Kakashi there on their first mission together and smiles. “It’ll be on the pricier side, but I should be able to afford it if you wouldn’t mind making the reservations for us.”
“How many people? Let’s see…” Iruka pauses and starts to list the groomsmen on both sides as he counts with his fingers. “Kakashi, Guy, me, you, Anko, Ibiki, Ebisu, Naruto, Sakura, Tenten, Lee, Kurenai… And Genma should be on a mission around that time.”
“Yes, but reserve a spot for him just in case he’s able to make it,” Yamato responds and scribbles everything down on the notepad in front of him with a pencil so that they won’t forget any of the important details. “Also look into getting a portable bassinet in Kurenai’s room in case she needs to bring Mirai along with her, and make sure that Kakashi and Guy get the king suite.”
“Alright, sounds good,” Iruka gently takes the notepad and pencil from Yamato’s hands. Their fingers brush, but again, neither of them say anything. “Anything else?”
“Do you think you could pick up some decorations?” Yamato asks.
“No problem. What are you thinking?”
“Something bright and obnoxious that Guy would like. Lots of green and orange,” At that, Iruka gives Yamato an incredulous look. “What? Kakashi won’t care. He just wants whatever will make Guy happy.”
“That does explain why they’re going with dark green and egg shell white for wedding colors and bright red flowers instead of… Oh, I don’t know what Kakashi would like,” Iruka chuckles. “Something not so Christmas-y smack dab in the middle of spring.”
“Let’s be honest, Iruka, if Kakashi had full control of the wedding, it would be grey on grey with no flowers whatsoever. Hell, they’d probably get married in a shack or something.”
“Ha!” Iruka laughs even harder, his face darkening and tears pricking the corners of his eyes. “Yamato, you’re funny.”
“You really think so?”
“Yeah?”
“It’s just-” Yamato cuts himself off, struggling to respond to the compliment. “Well, no one’s ever called me that before.”
“Well, I think you’re hilarious.”
“I can come with you to make the reservations at the hot spring… If you want.”
“Sure. Tomorrow?”
“Yeah.”
~
Iruka thinks he might actually be going insane. As the wedding draws closer, his crush on Yamato gets progressively worse. They keep getting shoved together to plan the wedding and all of the traditional nonsense that weddings come with, so the amount of time they spend together keeps increasing.
Iruka is sure it’s on purpose. It must be on purpose, right? Some sort of sick plot Kakashi came up with to screw with him. Or, maybe the Jonin is actually trying to help, but really, it’s just screwing with him- because Yamato is impossible to read. Does he even like men? Does he even like anyone in general? Iruka has no idea.
So, he’s frustrated as he hangs up the gaudy green streamers and orange paper flowers in the party suite of the hot springs they rented out for the bachelor party. It’s supposed to start in less than an hour and he’s working so slow that he’s still not ready. Meanwhile, Yamato is off coordinating with the staff to make sure that they’re making the food and have the rooms set up- and since Iruka went and forgot it in the midst of everything else, the poor wood style user had to figure out how to build a safe-sleep crib with his jutsu for Mirai last minute.
Finally, Yamato pops his head into the room and approaches Iruka where he stands on the top step of the stool he’s been using to reach the walls.
“Okay, the decorations look pretty good, but can you come help me with this one?” Iruka asks.
“Sure, what do you need?”
Yamato, the fucking fiend he is, doesn’t wait for Iruka to get down from the steps. Instead, he climbs up to the step just behind Iruka, gently plucks the paper flower from Iruka’s hand, and reaches above the teacher to hang it up.
“I pulled a muscle chasing after one of my kids earlier, so I’m having trouble reaching up high enough to tack this final flower up. Your arms are a little longer than mine,” Iruka explains. “Mind finishing it for me?”
“No problem,” Yamato’s front is pressed against Iruka’s back because of the position they’re in as he tacks the flower up to the wall. And fuck- his voice is way too close to Iruka’s ear, his dick is way too close to Iruka’s ass, and Iruka is struggling not to pop a fucking boner in the middle of Kakashi and Guy’s party. “All done.”
Not realizing just how close Yamato’s face is, Iruka turns around to thank him, only for their lips to brush against one another. It’s so brief that he doesn’t even get to enjoy it before he gasps and rushes to apologize.
“Ah! I’m so sorry, I-”
“It’s, um,” Yamato puts his hands on Iruka’s waist to steady him, as the man is so shocked that he nearly falls down the steps. The firm, strong, warm grasp only makes Iruka’s situation worse- and he finds that he is so incredibly grateful that Yamato’s gaze stays on his face, rather than traveling down. “It’s fine. Don’t worry about it. Accidents happen, right?”
“Haha… Right… Should we let everyone know that the party room is ready, then?”
“Yes,” Yamato answers and steps down to the floor, gently guiding Iruka down as well. “You stay here, I’ll go tell the staff that they can bring in dinner and let everyone come in.”
Predictably, the moment Yamato leaves, Iruka rushes into the bathroom.
Hopefully some cold water can fix his situation before everyone starts wondering where the hell he went…
~
The bachelor party goes better than Iruka could’ve ever predicted- probably because he avoids Yamato to prevent any further ‘situations’ and sticks to chatting with Anko for most of it. Once everyone goes to their rooms, Iruka cleans up the party suite and glances at the clock to see that it’s already past midnight. Thankfully, he’s not there alone, as Anko offered to stay and help since Yamato was busy getting the food cleaned up and making sure everyone got to their rooms safely.
“So, is it just me or was that guy giving you fuck-me eyes all night?”
“What!? Anko, watch your language,” Iruka scolds and heads for the door, hoping to avoid whatever this is going to turn into, but Anko follows close behind with a smirk on her face.
“Oh, come on, you know it’s true! And you were looking at him, too, weren’t you?” She asks as the two approach his room. “Don’t tell me you two hooked up?”
“No, no! It’s… Nothing like that,” Iruka groans. “I just- I maybe, sort of, kind of want to… But I don’t think he’s interested!”
“Really? Because he was staring at you like he wanted to rip your clothes off.”
“You’re just messing with me. Seriously, Anko, don’t tease me like that,” Iruka grumbles as he unlocks the door to his room. “It’s messed up.”
“I’m being serious! Even Ebisu noticed it!”
“Wait,” Iruka pauses, turning back to look at Anko. He doesn’t see any hints of deception in her expression. On top of that, Ebisu is pretty dense when it comes to things like sex and romance, despite the books he reads, so for him to notice must mean it’s true- and very, very obvious. “Ebisu did?”
“Yes!”
“And you’re not lying?”
“No! Why would I set you up to go try to make a move on this guy and get rejected?” Anko asks, and honestly, it’s a fair question. “Seriously, I think he likes you! You should talk to him!”
“Fine, but I’m going to bed, alright? I’ll see you tomorrow.”
With that, Iruka goes into his room and shuts the door behind him, but he can’t help noting just how lonely it feels…
Does Yamato really like him, too? Does he have a crush, or is it something more? Would he even be interested in sex? Or would he want to go on a date first? Iruka’s mind races. Both he and Yamato had a couple drinks, so admittedly, his judgment probably isn’t the best, and whatever Ebisu and Anko saw might’ve just been Yamato being a little buzzed… At the same time, though, he’d like to believe it.
Iruka knows he won’t be able to sleep like this, so he decides he may as well take advantage of the hot springs. He normally wouldn’t be comfortable with going, but since it’s so late, he knows no one will be there. He grabs a robe and a cushy towel from the bathroom in his private suite, then makes his way to the men’s hot springs.
When he slides the door open, he’s surprised to find that there is someone there.
Much to his excitement (and also horror), it’s Yamato. He briefly wonders if he could get away with turning around and leaving, but Yamato hears the door open and turns to greet Iruka, who suddenly feels small- ugly- and embarrassed with a tiny towel wrapped around his waist.
“Hey, Iruka,” Yamato smiles. He looks much different without his head guard. “Water’s pretty nice. Come on in.”
Iruka offers a stiff smile and a nod. He can’t help but think about the accidental sort-of kiss they shared in the party suite as he carefully steps into the water and takes a seat. He’s near Yamato, but still a couple of feet away… Close enough that Yamato won’t be able to tell that something is wrong, but not close enough that it’s weird.
While Yamato stares up at the night sky, Iruka stares at Yamato. The man is broad and built, the muscles in his arms tensing as he allows them to rest on the rocks behind his body. His chest is wide and toned, but soft looking, too, even with the many scars that map across it. Beads of water- or maybe sweat- drip from the ends of Yamato’s hair onto him, rolling down his pale and dewy skin, and despite how wet it is with the steam in the air and the hot water surrounding his body, Iruka’s mouth becomes dry.
Maybe it’s the beer speaking, or maybe Anko’s words got to him more than they should’ve. Iruka decides that he should say something. After all, what’s the worst that could happen? He’ll face an awkward rejection, go to the wedding, and avoid Yamato for the rest of his life. There are worse things that could happen… Right?
“Hey, Yamato, can I tell you something?”
“Sure,” Yamato says, glancing over at Iruka. “What is it?”
“I’m pretty sure Kakashi only had us do all of this wedding stuff together because I told him I had a little bit of a crush on you,” Iruka admits with a nervous laugh.
Yamato blinks in surprise. Iruka can’t tell if the look of pure shock on Yamato’s face is good or bad.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,” Iruka whispers, twiddling his thumbs. “I hope you don’t mind.”
“Not at all,” Yamato smiles and, much to Iruka’s surprise, moves to sit closer to him and reaches over to hold his hand. “I think I have a bit of a crush on you, too, Iruka.”
“Really? You don’t have to say that, if you don’t mean it.”
“Why would I say it if I didn’t mean it? In fact,” Yamato continues while giving Iruka’s hand a reassuring squeeze. “I’d like to ask you to accompany me to the wedding, not as another groomsman, but as my date.”
“I would love that.”
The two men sit together in comfortable silence. Iruka isn’t sure for how long, however- a minute with Yamato simultaneously feels like a second and an hour.
“I had a lot of fun tonight,” Yamato says, breaking the quiet night air with his deep voice.
“It was a great party,” Iruka smiles and rests his head on Yamato’s shoulder. “I’m glad it turned out so well.”
“We did a good job. You want me to walk to your room?”
“Actually… Why don’t we go back to yours together?”
Yamato’s eyes go wide at the same time that his otherwise pale cheeks turn dark pink.
“I-” Yamato gulps, then offers an enthusiastic nod. “Yes. Let’s go.”
~
A week passes. Though nothing else is said about what happened at the hot springs, their friendship remains steady, and it’s not too awkward. Iruka is thankful for that. They attend the wedding together- as each other’s dates- but Iruka still can’t help how nervous he is following the beautiful ceremony about what’s to come for them.
As they help finishing the clean up, with most of the guests slowly tapering out, Iruka quietly asks-
“So, are we still gonna talk after this?”
“Why wouldn’t we?”
“I don’t know. I mean, isn’t it normal for two people to sleep together and then never talk again?” Iruka frowns. “Since the wedding is over… If we’re not planning it together anymore-”
“Iruka, I really like you,” Yamato interjects with a stern look. He throws some trash away and walks up to Iruka, to stand right in front of him. “Do you like me?”
“Of course I like you,” Iruka answers. He furrows his brow and tosses his hands up in frustration, only to then run them through his gelled hair. “Why would I have done all this if I didn’t like you? Sleeping with you- and then going to the wedding with you like this, too?”
“Then, if I like you, and you like me… Why shouldn’t we keep talking after this?”
“I want to,” Iruka sighs, avoiding Yamato’s intense gaze. “I just didn’t know if you’d want to.”
“Of course I would,” Yamato leans in closer, practically forcing Iruka to meet his eyes. Iruka blinks, then swallows the nervous lump that’s been building in his throat. “I’m not used to doing this sort of thing still, so I’m sorry if I haven’t communicated well, but… I’ll stay with you as long as you let me. Now, why don’t we go back to yours?”
At that, Iruka grins, grabs Yamato by the hand, and starts in the direction of his apartment.
Meanwhile…
“So, Guy, are you happy?” Kakashi asks as the two men haul all the gifts and flowers to the back of the horse carriage that  Naruto was gracious enough to rent for them with the surprising amount of money he had in his froggy wallet.
“Hm? Of course I am! It was a beautiful ceremony, so full of youth,” Guy answers with a grin, carrying so many of the heavy presents that Kakashi knows he’s going to be sore tomorrow- even if he denies it.
“How mad do you think they’d be if we told them we went and got legally married years ago without a ceremony?”
“Probably pretty mad, since that means they’d know this was our plan all along, just to get them to finally spend some time together,” Guy laughs. “But we were overdue for a celebration of our love!”
“You would think that,” Kakashi chuckles. “But does true love really need to be celebrated in such a grandiose way?”
“If it’s ours, most certainly! You deserve it, my dearest rival.”
“I’m glad you think so,” Kakashi reaches over to grab Guy’s hand and hold it within his own. “Did you see them leave together? Iruka seemed pretty excited to get him home, if you know what I mean.”
“Mhm!” Guy nods, enthusiastic as ever. “Seems like they really bonded during the wedding planning, just like you knew they would!”
“How many years do you think it’ll take them to get married?”
“I’ll bet on three!” Guy answers while holding up three fingers on his spare hand. “They both seem like they’d rather take their time.”
“I’ll bet you the rest of the wedding cake that it’ll be less than that.”
“Oh, you’re so on!”
